Welcome to Jackson's Bay House. Three bedroom, end of terrace home is situated on Barry Island, opposite the lovely cove of Jackson's Bay. Five beaches within walking distance There is something for everyone, whether it be buckets & spades at Whitmore Bay, walking the Wales Coastal Path, paddle boarding in Jackson's Bay or being wined & dined at a choice of local restaurants to suit all tastes. A perfect location for anyone wishing for a busy or restful break by the seaside. Free off road parking for 3 cars at rear of house. Ground Floor: Entrance via small reading porch. (Coat hanging available under the stairs). A cosy lounge (12’x10’), open plan working area,fully fitted kitchen (14’.11”x 8’) leading into a South facing conservatory dining area, opening onto a flat, South facing , block paved garden, with a gas BBQ on the decking and Sea View. (Ideal for Dogs!) First Floor: Bedroom 1: King Size Bed, Bedrooms 2 and 3 both have Small Double Beds, room 3 with Sea Views. (Bedroom 1: 10’x10’, Bedroom 2: 10’x 8’10” Bedroom 3: 8’x 7’) Upstairs toilet & shower room (7’x5’), with waterfall shower. Outside: South facing, flat, paved and decked secure garden. Seating area with Green & sea views, gas BBQ and table for 6. Well within easy walking distance are 5 great beaches (Jackson's Bay, Whitmore Bay, the Old Harbour, Cold Knap & Porthkerry Bay), local amenities including, shops, buses train station, pub, restaurants and supermarket. Unfortunately, due to steps down from the pavement and up from the car park, Jackson's bay House is not suitable for wheelchair access. We can provide a Paddle board and buoyancy aid on request for your stay. Please note this is used at your own risk. Please message if you would like this option 🏄‍♀️

A beautiful home from home close to the beach and fun fair. Well presented, comfortable, full of thoughtful touches. Recommend for friends, couples, families.

Easy access to Cardiff City Centre for Concerts & Sporting events (approx 35 min by train), station 10 min walk from house.
We have free off road parking for 3 cars.

(Please do not park in any street on Barry Island, unless there is a designated bay, these are available for 2 hrs, no return. You will get booked!)
There is a Pay & Display Car Park at Whitmore Bay.
You can walk to all amenities :
Jackson's Bay and Barry Yacht Club is a 2min Walk, via a steep path.
Jackson's Bay is a beautiful, sheltered cove, giving great swimming, paddle
boarding, kayaking or beach lounging activities. It is also Dog Friendly all
year round!
Guests are able to access Barry Yacht Club, with it's Harbour and Jackson's Bay views, to have a meal or a drink in beautiful surroundings.
Bus Stop is a 2min walk.
Local shop is a 3 minute walk, open 7 days a week.
Barry Island Train Station is a 10min Walk. A train will take you into Cardiff
Central to the East, which is a 38min journey, or, you can travel to the
historic Seaside Town of Llantwit Major, to the West.
Local pub, Finnegans, serving great quality meals and drinks, is a 12min
walk.
Barry Island Funfair is a 10min walk. Lots' of great rides, including Britain's
Tallest ride at 240ft!!
Whitmore Bay Beach is a 10min walk. It is a beautifully kept beach with a
Lifeguard Summer service. You have all the Cafes', Fish & Chips, Ice Cream Parlour, Games Arcades and Beach Essentials.
ASDA Supermarket and 24 hour petrol station is 0.6miles.
The GoodSheds - Is a container/train carriage, sustainable Urban Village, consisting of independent businesses. These include a great variety of
food outlets including, A La Carte Dining & Tapas at Cosy Tapas. There are
also Boutique Clothes Carriages and a Vintage Clothing Carriage, Arts &
Crafts Carriage, a Hairdresser and Craft Republic, that is an independent
Beer Brewer, who also serve a large selection of Wines! 0.7miles.
From Jackson's Bay, you can access the Wales Coastal Path. The path leads to Whitmore Bay, onto The Old Harbour, which is Dog friendly all year round, Cold Knap Bay, a pebble beach also Dog friendly all year, and into Porthkerry Country Park. You can walk as far as you wish!
Please note, dogs are not allowed on Whitmore Beach from May 1st-30th September.
