Third time staying at Mike and Trish’s place. Everything was perfect, as usual. Please reference my other reviews in Jan 24 and Feb 22 for finer details. While we have stayed here in the past to partake in the skiing at Snowshoe (which is a far better location for the price and amenities that you would get at the resort), I look forward to returning in the summer to get acquainted with the many state parks, national forests, and the nearby Greenbrier River for leisure water sports in the quaint town of Marlinton. When staying at this AirBnB, what makes this place stand above the rest are all the amenities the house holds, so much so, that you’ll not need to plan to bring any ‘from home’ items to help in the kitchen or late evening activities, as they have it all: from a crockpot, excellent appliances, to a popcorn maker; and tons of movies to board games to a smart TV to access your own streaming accounts, this place has it all. Trish’s place was great for our family. The house was well stocked with quality kitchen tools, games, and everything we needed for a home away from home. It was also cluttered-free making it a great place for our 18-month-old to explore. The hosts kindly left us a large stock of linens and beautiful blankets for the crib as well. We would love to come back!

We loved our trip and our accommodations. Everything was just perfect. We felt right at home and had everything we needed. The directions were spot on. The view was just picturesque! We can’t wait to return and stay here again.

Second time staying, and first of two stays this winter. Trish and Mike are wonderful hosts, and their ‘home away from home’ continues to be the best valued and best accommodations for those that love the mountains, outdoors, WV state parks, and Snowshoe Ski Resort a mere 30 minute drive away. The thoughtfulness of Trish and Mike to make sure everything is available and in place to make a welcoming stay during the winter weekends with young kids is second to none. They made sure family games were available, family friendly movies for the late evenings (after a busy day skiing), and the sled for the kids to enjoy in their backyard on the hills. My only selfish issue is to make sure this place is kept a secret, so my family and I continue to have a place to stay when venturing to WV next time!
