The Retreat at Burwood is a historic cabin with a modern renovation to make it cozy & luxurious for 2022 & beyond! Located 12 miles south of Franklin & 35 miles south of Nashville, this home sits on 8 acres of peaceful & private land with easy access to I-840. Come enjoy star-gazing at night from the private hot tub, fishing in the pond, or just relaxing by the outdoor firepit! Perfect getaway for couples or families looking to rest & unwind! The Retreat at Burwood includes wide open spaces inside and out! With extra large bedrooms, dedicated work/desk areas, plenty of land for roaming and a large front porch for sipping sweet tea and coffee, you won't want to leave our home in the country! *The main home includes 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths and sleeps 7 people. >main floor bedroom 1: queen bed >2nd floor bedroom 2: king bed >2nd floor bedroom 3: 3 twin beds *There is a guest house on the property by the barn, that is rented out long term. While you may seen the tenant, the spaces are very separate and private.

This place is an absolute gem! It was incredibly beautiful inside and out and such a relaxing, peaceful spot. The pond with ducks and geese swimming plus the horses in the pasture was perfection. Loved the mix of historic home plus modern updates. I wish we could have moved in forever! Don’t pass this place up!
We loved staying in your home. It truly become my home away from home, hosting my family for my first grandson's baptism party. What a beautiful setting for family to gather and share great company. We loved our conversations around the dining room table, telling stories in the living room, holding babies and watching the horses on the front porch, and laughing as all five of us cooked in the kitchen. Bedrooms were very comfortable. Showers were roomy with all the things I didn't pack. Extra bonus to have a full size washer and dryer on hand. I am a tv anchor and even recorded a story from the dining room table! Can't wait to come back.
This place is incredible. It is peaceful and in a great location. The WiFi functions great and that is coming from someone who runs an online company that works with an immense amount of uploading and downloading videos. I highly recommend Gretchen’s home.
Our family enjoyed this peaceful retreat. The home had all the modern amenities we needed, while being nestled in a beautiful setting. We loved all the local farms and small businesses in the surrounding area. Our family had a wonderful stay!

The Retreat at Burwood is located in the small community called Burwood in Thompsons Station, TN. We are surrounded by a variety of homes ranging from older, established homes to a newly-built gated estate community right across the street and everything in between! Historic Huff's Grocery is 1 mile away as is the Burwood Community Center with a small walking trail and playground.

My husband and I love traveling (especially through Airbnb). We decided to open up our home in the Nashville area because we want others to feel welcome while enjoying the city we love! I am a 2nd grade teacher. I taught internationally for three years where I met my husband. Together we love to explore new cultures and interact with people from around the world.
