We loved the Phenix! We had an unexpected delay, due to traffic from the solar eclipse, and ended up arriving at 1am! The Phenix staff told us that it was no problem; and, it ended up being so easy to check in! They informed us about parking ahead of time, gave us a code to the door and our room and it was super smooth even at 1am. The town is adorable and we found a cute cafe to eat at down the road for breakfast. The room itself was very nice, with a modern, yet retro aesthetic. It was meticulously clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The TV was even signed in to streaming platforms, so we were able to watch one of our favorite shows. Best of all, coffee and cream were complimentary for the morning. It was an excellent stay and we would definitely come again!

Our stay at the Phenix was, overall, quite good. Notably, the Phenix does not conform to the traditional Airbnb design. It is, essentially, a hotel without a front desk, where each room is listed as an independent rental. The room was nice. Things were clean, modern, and fresh, with reasonable amenities and a nice vibe. We maintain one major complaint with our stay, however. We assumed, from scrolling through photos of the various rooms hosted by the Phenix, and seeing the lovely windows and natural light, that the photos of this room with the curtains closed was coincidental, and a similar view awaited us upon arrival. This was wrong. Unfortunately, our "window" was only an opaque piece of framed plastic placed into the wall. Not only can you not see out of it, but because it does not go to the outside it offers no natural light which definitely had an impact on the vibe, especially in the morning. We felt misled by this, which impaced the rating, but otherwise had a great stay.
