Positive aspects: Scenic waterfront location, clean beach, serene park area, a few toys for kids (albeit mostly vintage). Negative aspects: Isolation due to lack of people, unclear parking situation. House disappointments: Musty odor, creaky floors, very dusty and sandy surfaces. Cleaning issues: Absence of kitchen garbage cans, malfunctioning trash compactor. Infestation: Flies and putrid smell from the compactor; spider webs and dead bugs in bedrooms and beds. Inconveniences: Lack of microwave, missing bathroom hand towels. Frustrating Airbnb customer service: Slow response, poor communication amongst shift workers in customer service, denied refund despite evidence. Total charge: Approximately $1100 ($593 pn) for a subpar stay. This is a higher priced property within this area but definitely not worth it. TL/DR- Most important things to know- NO Microwave. Tons of BUGS, rotting trash, dust and sand. Common areas not useable due to flies and we had to quarantine in our rooms.

My family and I had a wonderful time, the location was great, views amazing. The kids loved the lake. The only thing I would say is, I knew the house didn’t have A/C but thought maybe the lake breeze would help, unfortunately it didn’t and the heat was terrible. All the breeze and fans couldn’t help that. If you are going to this house, middle of the summer may not be the best. Otherwise I would definitely go back.
