Adjacent to a peaceful pond with a dock and pergola, this studio is perfect for a couple seeking a quiet getaway for a week-end or an individual seeking a comfortable alternative to a hotel. Our studio is spacious, welcoming and was designed as an extension of our home when family come to visit. As a studio, it is completely separate from the main part of our home, taking up most of the basement. The studio has a large living area with a wood burning fireplace and a 60" Sony Smart TV, a king sized bed with luxury linens and pillows, a kitchenette with all accessories and cooking utensils except an full-sized oven, a full bathroom with tub and double-headed shower, and a separate dining area that can be used as a work area. The studio has a dedicated heating and cooling system to insure the comfort of our guests. Outside the double entrance doors is a patio with a bistro table and chairs overlooking our pond and woods -- perfect for a glass of wine before dinner or a nightcap before bed -- or working outside in the morning with a cup of coffee using the Starlink internet system. The view from the patio encompasses the beauty of nature in western Fauquier County. There is a Solo firepit and Adirondack chairs by the pond for cool or cold evenings, with an ample supply of wood harvested from downed trees on our property. There is lighting all around the pond, leading to a secluded pergola at the far end. There is a kayak and canoe (with life jackets!) by the pond for the use of our guests if they are so inclined. The studio is perfectly situated between Warrenton, Culpeper, Little Washington, Sperryville, Marshall, Great Meadow, and Flint Hill -- 20 - 30 minutes to each wonderful winery and restaurant. And we are 30 minutes from the beauty of the Shenandoah National Park Thornton Gap entrance for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. There is an separate "bunk room" for kids attached to the studio that is available for an extra charge if guests have a child or two they would like to bring with them. Our strong preference, however, is that this extra room not be used for another adult couple.
