A really amazing experience! And such a lovely person! If you are looking for an experience in a beautiful, more quiet and very local area, you can't find a better option. The views of the mountains are amazing and your neighbours are chickens, cats and local families. :) As you can read in the description, the house is in the outskirts of Shkoder (40 minutes walking to the center/ 5 EUR by taxi/ 10 minutes cycling ; there is a nice restaurant and a few shops 10-minute walk away). Harmen is continuesly investing and improving in the space. At this point the conditions are already really comfortable (hot water, fast internet). The only possible disadvantage is that you don't have electricity in the room, so you charge your devices in the other room and you use candles for the light (so cool! :)). Thank you again Harmens for having us. Big good luck for your beautiful project :)

nice place, good to relax but not too good to get into the city, there was a bike which was really helpful since there was no public transport. No running water or lighting which may turn people off, but didn't impact my stay too much apart from the bathroom Harmens was really responsive and very helpful, which was so nice and helpful! also the fruit growing was really lovely :))

To enjoy the site I think it needs to be clearer what to expect. Harmens is lovely, the garden so nice, there is fresh fruit, its calm and relaxing. But its still a work in progress which needs to be known beforehand - so that you can see if its the type of stay you want. There was no running water - we got it from a fountain/pump to shower, wash the dishes etc. No electricity except for the hall, the wifi was super good tho. Harmens gave us a lamp and made it as comfortable and beautiful as possible, we felt really welcomed, thats for sure. Its also nicely located to rest in a calm environment but also quick to the city center. Since its a constant work in progress im sure something even more beautiful will evolve, and the place will change a lot over time.

Harmens ist ein total netter, hilfsbereiter und lustiger Kerl. Wir haben gute Gespräche geführt und er gab uns auch gute Tipps für Sightseeing. Wir haben die Unterkunft nicht gleich gefunden, aber Harmens ist telefonisch gut erreichbar. Die Unterkunft ist leichter zu finden, als das GPS anzeigt. Im Prinzip war es wie auf den Bildern beschrieben. Die Unterkunft ist eher für Menschen geeignet, die gerne auf Luxus verzichten und das einfache Leben genießen. Strom gab es nämlich nur im Arbeitsbereich, was für uns völlig ausreichend war. Wir fanden die Nächte im Mondlicht und das Sitzen im Kerzenschein romantisch und gemütlich. Wasser musste im Garten von einer Hand-Pumpe geholt werden, aber damit konnte das Klo betrieben und geduscht werden. Es steht zwar eine Dusche zur Verfügung, aber wir haben es genossen, uns unter freiem Himmel im Garten zu duschen. Das Wasser wurde durch die Sonne vorgewärmt und hatte eine angenehme Temperatur. Sein Garten lädt zum Entspannen und zum Genießen ein.

This place has a very good potential, but not realized for the moment. It lacks water, if possible current, electricity too, the environment of the house needs a serious restoration. Actually only for minimalist.
