It is situated at the top of the high street of Ilfracombe’s town and Tunnels Beaches is very short walk away. Great places to eat line the harbour and the lower town. For keen walkers the Torrs Walk is close by and joins up with the South West Coast Path. Arranged over one floor, this ground floor apartment is elegantly appointed throughout. Entering the property, you are greeted by an entrance hall with bedrooms to your left and right, both with an ensuite shower room, sink & WC; there is a double and twin zip-and-link (which can be made up as a king-size on request). The living space is furnished with a four-seater dining table and chairs, a comfortable L shaped sofa and a 43” Smart TV providing Freeview and access to Netflix. In the well-equipped contemporary kitchen, an electric hob & oven, microwave, fridge freezer, sink and Tassimo coffee machine are all to hand. A small utility room at the end of the kitchen houses a washing machine. The back door leads out onto a decked patio providing a BBQ and ample seating and dining for four; an outdoor space for all to enjoy. There is no private parking available. However, there is plenty in the roads around Church House such as, Station Road, Church Road and Langleigh Road which do not have parking restrictions. Cheap public parking is also available on the Wilder Road Car Park which is a 30 second walk from the house. The parking bays across from the traffic lights also have no restrictions between 18:00pm and 08:00am. No pets are permitted on the property. One travel cot and highchair can be provided on request and towels and linen are provided.
Great find in Ilfracombe, nicely decorated with all you need for a great trip away. Yes, it’s right on the road but just take some ear plugs if you are a light sleeper! The rest of the property more than made up for it! Well equipped, clean kitchen, nice en- suites to both rooms, comfortable beds, cosy lounge area. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
Avoid! This is a shop with single glazed windows converted to living space on a busy roundabout. Impossible to street park and can’t get near property to drop bags off. Bedrooms were at the front with the single glaze big shop windows with frosting on. Could hear everything like you are outside. Every car, every conservation and zero sleep. We ended up taking the smaller mattresses from the bedroom to the living room and sleeping in there with our 5 year old. I slept on the sofa. Kitchen facilities good and done to a modern standard. But with the noise and feeling of no privacy we were just waiting to leave. Requested partial refund but nothing so far. We have stayed in many Airbnb places and they have been great but would never return to this one.

Church House is a lovely property which sits at the top of the high street centre in the seaside town of Ilfracombe. It is within walking distance of Tunnels Beaches and great places to eat line the harbour and the lower town. For keen walkers the Torrs Walk is close by and joins up with the South West Coast Path. Ilfracombe’s pretty harbour offers fishing charters and pleasure cruises around the coast or to Lundy Island.
