Estes Park · 整套民居 · 1室1床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · Hot tub, Woodstove, Views, BBQ, K Bed, EV charger
A perfect couples retreat! Hike into Rocky Mountain National Park from the front door, soak in a private hot tub, enjoy a wood stove, charge your car & stargaze beneath a skylight from a luxe king bed (21-ZONE3143). "By far the best Airbnb we have stayed at" - Allison A block from the park boundary (elk & deer abound) & 5 mins to town. + Eco-friendly AC & heat + EV charger + Wood stove + Beetle kill woodwork + Big kitchen, laundry + Mood lights + Walk in shower Zen studio for 2, circa 2023 *** THREE IMPORTANT THINGS *** 1) The Wood Shed is connected to another of my listings, The Hill House. It sits atop the Hill House garage and has its own private parking, entrance, deck and hot tub. There are no shared walls or connecting doors, and the garage is locked off for owner storage, but you do have neighbors next door (legally a duplex). Please be respectful! 2) This is a 600 s/f open studio with a bathroom and a king bed. To make it feel spacious, I used extremely low furniture (chairs & bed). If you have bad knees, this will be a bad fit. The bathroom is quite small, but still has a walk in shower. 3) House Rules: Check in at 4pm or later; check out at 10am or earlier. No pets or smoking. Last, the cleaning fee is lower than about 2/3 of other units this size because guests start a load of dishes and towels on checkout. The savings is passed on to you. ****************************** After hosting 40k guest nights across 50 properties over 7 years, I wanted to build something special and unforgettable for travelers to Rocky Mountain National Park. I moved here for these mountains, and I sought to create a space that connected people to them. The Wood Shed is an homage to our local wild lands, and an effort to share my awe. Here are some of the first reviews: - "By far the best Airbnb we have stayed at." - Allison - "This was probably the best AirBnB I’ve ever stayed at." Samantha - "One of the best AirBnbs I've stayed in. " - Casie - "I can say without hesitation this was easily among the best AirBnBs we have stayed in." - Cameron - "This place is FANTASTIC. We even tried changing our travel plans to stay another night." - Rebecca The walls and ceiling were milled from locally sourced beetle kill lumber, with each single board telling a story of hundreds of years of rainfall, fire and lightning. I made the bench and coffee table from trees felled on my land. I scavenged whiskey bottles from a Colorado distillery and repurposed them into pendant lamps, and put a skylight above the bed so you can watch stars as you fall asleep. When you shower, I hope you feel like you're actually swimming. The brilliant blue tile is the same color as the glacial runoff found in Lake Haiyaha in the National Park's Chaos Canyon. To honor our local mountains, I tried hard to maintain a low environmental footprint. The HVAC system is an ultra-efficient heat pump that provides heat and AC. There's a level II charger for your EV, all the lighting is LED, the wood stove releases virtually no smoke, and even the toilet is one of the most efficient made. Solar will come soon! There's a 50" TV and a Bluetooth sound bar, but I hope you spend your time here connecting with whoever you came with. Cook an epic meal in the fully stocked kitchen and enjoy the record collection. Some of my favorite LPs await: Nirvana's Unplugged, Leo Kottke's 6 & 12 String Guitar; Bob Marley's Legend, Miles Davis' Kind of Blue, Harvest Moon by Neil Young, and (can I kick it?) Midnight Marauders by A Tribe Called Quest. It's way fun to listen to a these gems while the wood stove roars, preferably after a soak in the private hot tub on the deck. ****************************** KEY AMENITIES (check the amenity list to see them all) + Washer & dryer in unit + Propane grill + A/C + 2 person private hot tub + Private deck w/ porch swing + Fully stocked kitchen + French press & drip coffee maker + Blender, toaster, numerous small appliances + Wood stove (bring your own wood, available at the nearby Country Supermarket) DRIVING DISTANCES 1 minute: Rock Inn Mountain Tavern (best restaurant) 2 minutes: Bird and Jim (other best restaurant), Groceries 3 minutes: National Park Visitor Center 5 minutes: Downtown Estes Park 6 minutes: Beaver Meadows Entry Station, YMCA of the Rockies 10 minutes: Anywhere in the Estes Valley 45 minutes: Boulder, Eldora Ski Resort 60 minutes: Fort Collins (breweries galore; rafting the Poudre) 90 Minutes: DIA, Red Rocks Amphitheater
Me and my bf had a great stay, the view is incredible, we went to local restaurant and everything was wonderful , we felt safe and it felt like home, so close to the national park. whenever we plan to get back that’s where we are planning to stay again. Highly recommended!!
Beautiful space and very clean! We stayed 1 night and it was worth it. The fireplace was amazing and the entire place was clean. It is closer to other properties than we thought, but we didn’t see anyone while there. Definitely a great spot to stay! We saw elk as we were having dinner at the barstools!
Beautiful surroundings on the edge of RMNP. Super short drive to Beaver Meadows Visitor Center. Everything was clean and functioned well. Record player and well chlorinated hot tub was a plus. Very quite. Loved it!
The Wood Shed is along Highway 66 only a few short minutes from the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. It's a quiet area that sees little traffic, and the park boundary is within a quarter of a mile. This means elk, coyotes, foxes, bears, raccoons, hummingbirds, and mule deer frequently pass by.
The National Park is just out the backdoor and the entrance station is reachable without having to brave downtown traffic. You can even hike into the park on foot. If you want to go downtown and don't want to deal with parking, the town offers a free shuttle service during the summer months with a stop about 10 minutes away by foot! That's a super easy way for the entire family to head out to dinner or enjoy local farmers markets and festivals.
自我介绍
I grew up on the beaches of California and now live in the high mountain town of Estes Park. My house is about 5 minutes away from Rocky Mountain National Park. I've worked as a full-time photographer since 2006, shooting weddings and adventure sports. I've been lucky enough to combine my passions of travel and photography and have worked worldwide. Travel is super important to me and has left me with many memorable experiences. I've been lost at sea in the British Virgin Islands, have won a palm tree climbing contest in Thailand, and learned the art of sourdough baking in the backwoods of Kentucky. I spend my free time climbing, trail running and cycling in the Colorado mountains. Living close to nature is therapy for the mind, body and soul. I host on AirBnB because I want to give people a chance to unwind and find peace in the mountains. Come and relax in one of the homes I host!
