Take it easy at this tranquil & picturesque getaway. Waterfront 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage on a peninsula surrounded by salt water in Boothbay Shores. The cottage is located on the oceanfront loop walk featuring some of Midcoast Maine’s most scenic natural , rugged beauty. A large screened in porch overlooks a quaint salt water cove & is less than 2 miles from Ocean Point. The area features many hiking trails & is ~ a 10 minute drive to restaurants and shops in “downtown Boothbay”. The cottage has two bedrooms (one with a queen bed and the other with two twins) and one bath. There is a large screened in porch featuring an outdoor L shaped lounging couch as well as a picnic table that seats six for outdoor , water view dining. There is also a living room, indoor dining area and a kitchen. The grounds have two perennial gardens and water views from every room. (For those of you unfamiliar with the area, most of midcoast Maine’s coastline, including Boothbay, offers beautiful, natural rugged scenery but is predominantly a rocky shoreline with very few sandy beaches.

This little cottage was just adorable! It was decorated so quaintly and made me feel right at home in Maine! And the view!! Sigh.... We loved the hiking trail recommendations. The house was clean, the beds were super comfortable and the bedding was inviting. It has any kitchenware you might need to whip up something good to eat. If you're looking for a cozy place away from the hustle and bustle, this is your place!
We had a wonderful week’s stay at this gem of a cottage on the Maine coast. The cottage was charming, with peaceful water views. Scott shared a wealth of local activities, including a wonderful walking loop we could access by walking right out the front door. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and so we ate most of our meals in the cottage either in the dining room (on our one rainy day) or out on the very cozy and screened-in porch with a fantastic water view. We also enjoyed our morning coffee sitting on the Adirondacks hairs overlooking a little cove. Would definitely stay here again it is a wonderful spot.
This is an extremely lovely log cabin cottage surrounded by beautiful coastal Maine views. It takes a while to drive off the Boothbay Peninsula but there is quite a bit worth seeing right there & Host was very helpful with suggestions of fun things to do! The Tecumseh Trail & Ocean Point Walk/Beach are close by and particularly exceptional. The cottage is very well-appointed and comfortably accommodates up to 4. Clothing dryer is a particularly nice touch being that the house is nearly surrounded by water & things can take a while to dry. The house is in a small neighborhood so it's pretty quiet despite being close to the road. The Host was very responsive to things that came up during the week. If you love coastal Maine you will enjoy this listing!

The Boothbay shores neighborhood is a peaceful, seaside wooded area featuring some of Midcoast Maine’s most beautiful natural rugged scenery. Walk out the cottage door to the left and you will walk along the picturesque Little River on your right. Walk another ~ 10 minutes along the road and it brings you out to stunning views of the Damariscotta River and open ocean. Walk out the cottage door to the right up the gravel road a few hundred yards and it connects you to a small trail to the scenic Little River salt water dam. The late and well traveled Charles Kuralt , previous host of the CBS’ popular Sunday Morning Show, recognized Boothbay Maine as one of his favorite twelve places in America!
The Boothbay Shore loop is a ~ 2 mile walk along Little River, the open ocean and the woods. The off street parking accommodates two vehicles.
