The house itself was nice. Instructions regarding all equipments are detailed. The neighborhood is quiet and the bus stop is quite close. However, if you have no car, check the timetables of the bus or plan on calling a taxi, which are quite scarce, since going around is not always that easy. The guests are requested to follow strict instructions before checking-in. However, despite the fact that we followed all steps carefully, the check-in process was a total disaster. The code provided to open the door was not working and we had to wait more than an hour with the kids in the cold and the dark until the owner, once all other options had been explored, eventually told us where the spare key was. Scandalous! When we finally entered, the house itself was extremely cold. The heating was off and a window had been left open. The rag and coffee table weren’t clean. The house had no outside lights. In the evening, it gets completely dark and dangerous with uneven ground and stairs.

Belle maison facile à trouver et facile d'accès depuis la route, avec un grand jardin et même un barbecue ! Le logement est très agréable et lumineux. Il est meublé avec soin, l'équipement est moderne et de grande qualité (manuels traduits en anglais), la vaisselle est fournie en quantité plus que suffisante. Quelques konbini et restaurants à distance de marche. 1 arrêt de bus pour aller au lac Ashi ou se rendre à Yumoto-hakone et Gora station à moins de 5 minutes à pied. Quelques bémols : - la maison est assez proche de la route, on entend la circulation en journée; mais les nuits étaient très calmes. - nous avons trouvé la communication insistante de l'hôte sur les horaires d'arrivée et de départs, les choses à faire et ne pas faire un peu oppressante. - la procédure d'enregistrement est fastidieuse et pas très bien expliquée malgré les efforts notables de l'hôte pour faciliter les choses aux invités. Nous recommandons ce logement où nous avons passé un agréable séjour.
