Nestled in a small quiet town right on the banks of Taunton Bay, enjoy peaceful relaxing location and watch the tide roll in and out. Wake up to waterviews from your bed. You have the entire "Spot" to yourself and whatever wildlife happens to show up that day! Private access to your very own spot on the bay with tidal ocean water views! Upon entering, you will find a spacious area to relax and unwind in comfort. You will have a queen size bed. There is also a futon couch that folds out to a double size bed. This is the most comfortable futon I have ever felt in my life. Plenty of seating available. **DISCLAIMER** If you are looking to book over the 4th of July holiday, please note that there will be fireworks set off in this yard several yards past the firepit. They will be loud. The fireworks display will last 30-60 minutes with mortar style explosions. If you or anyone in your party is sensitive to loud explosions sounds, please reconsider this booking. *** While we hope your adventures or visiting family over the holiday is seemless as much as possible, know that you will have a SmartTV with wifi when you return from the outside world. The TV is wall mounted and moveable. Also newly added is a Samsung sound bar with a subwoofer. Newly added a propane heater to keep you warm and cozy over colder visits in fall and winter. There is a window AC unit in late spring and summer months. The Spot also comes with a small kitchenette with coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge/ freezer, toaster and air fryer. The Spot has a full size bathroom with a marble double vanity, frameless glass shower with rain shower or wand attachment and a bench for seating. You will also have a full size patio through the glass slider to access the outdoor living areas and furniture seasonally. Waterfront access to Taunton Bay where you'll likely encounter many species of birds including Bald Eagles, geese, osprey, abundant wildlife! Tidal waters flow over clam mudflats. The shared yard is nearly 4 acres and on our property we have seen bears, deer, turkeys, fox, coyotes and all sorts of other critters. We also have a small fresh water creek that runs the entire length of the property and acts as a natural boundry to the neighbor on the left. I can show you the proprty lines to the right. Kayaking and canoeing off the waters edge is available with your own gear. With over 3,000 lakes and miles and miles of Maine coastline to explore, there is sure to be something for everyone. Bring your binoculars and your canoe to truly experience the joy and wonders Maine has to offer. We also live on the property to the right of the driveway. The Spot is an apartment separate from the main house. Your parking spot is right in front of your door on pavement. This property does NOT offer EV charging. There are EV charging stations in Ellsworth/Bar Harbor areas. While we are home often, you are free to interact or not as much as you are comfortable. My job is to maintain the property and help you! You may see us tending to the garden or mowing the lawn or just hanging out by the firepit. We are happy to answer any questions you may have or assist you with having a more comfortable stay.
