Nel Blu was truly an immersive Italian experience. It not only was in a beautiful historical setting, it was a unique apartment with personal touches of amenities for our comfort & enjoyment. The snacks, beverages & bathroom amenities were personally selected, presented & explained by Leonie at check-in. They were all so much appreciated & enjoyed during our stay. Both Leonie & Niccolo's family have such pride in their family businesses & products & that means a lot to us to support small business owners as well. The concierge service they provide was so helpful, including finding a rental car company prior to our arrival & then to find the best parking in Siena. We were also able to meet & support kind & welcoming business owners because of their recommendations & relationships. The Pici Pasta-making Class & Tuscan Dinner at Cretaiole was a highlight of our 2 week trip throughout Switzerland & Italy~a fun, delicious, informative evening in a beautiful setting with family & guests.

Leonie was undoubtedly the BEST AirBnb host I have ever had. She curated the perfect getaway. She was beyond helpful with making restaurant recommendations, and then making reservations on our behalf, in addition to providing a list of things to do in both Pienza and surrounding towns. Leonie and Nico provided complementary parking just a 7 minute walk away, and made sure our honeymoon was perfect. All of this, coupled with the variety of complementary local products within the apartment, made for the most perfect and thoughtful stay. Leonie and Nico even went out of their way to give us a tour of Nico’s family farm, and made us a homemade lunch afterwards. The apartment itself was charming and spacious for the two of us, and the view of Tuscany’s rolling hills from the living room window is absolutely breathtaking. We will never forget our stay with Leonie and Nico! And when we return to Tuscany (which we certainly will!) we will definitely be staying at “Nel Blu” again. Grazie! :)

Leonie and Nick’s apartment in Pienza is fantastic . The views from the apartment are great!! Defo a reason to stay here. Check in was very smooth and response time thru the chat was swift. If you have luggage don’t worry, Nico will help you with it all the way up the stairs to your room. If you’re driving you’ll get a parking spot nearby for yourself on private property within 5 minutes walk. The apartment is up 2 flights of stairs, and is well equipped. Cleanliness is 100% and also very well maintained for such a historic building. Kitchen ware looks new and solid. Furniture is clean and comfy . Bed as well. Shower is fully functional, toilet is splendid, amenities supplied are wonderful and lighting is great! The host are very thoughtful and helpful with recommendations and requests. Spoiled with drinks and food from their farm in Pienza and chocolate from Germany! Would recommend this place to friends and family 100%

This was a great apartment in the middle of Pienza that exactly matched our needs. Leonie and Nicco met us at their farm (about a 5-8 min walk) and brought us to the apartment. Nicco helped carry our bags and Leonie introduced us to the town. The place was extremely clean and well appointed. Leonie was very helpful in making restaurant reservations and suggesting things to do in the area. Free parking is provided at the farm. Samples of Vin Santo, grappa , beer, biscotti and little sweets were provided as a welcoming present. It is a third floor walk up but that only makes the view and experience so much better. I would definitely stay here again.

Many hours were spent researching options for our four night stay in Tuscany and choosing "Nel Blu" was worth every minute of it. Leonie and Nico are the perfect hosts. Great communication from the start, flexible and personal check-in with pick up from the farm where we parked, a quick 2 min drive of our luggage to the apartment and great introduction to the space. They are generous and endearing and are full of great suggestions for restaurants and activities - great knowledge of the town. We were able to join in a farm stay pasta dinner with grilled meats, delicious wine and more on the first night. This was an unexpected highlight of our whole trip to Italy. The space is lovely and the view is breathtaking. The bed was so comfortable. Loved the cool evening air with the warm heavy quilt. Pienza is a fantastic place to anchor your trip to Tuscany! Easy to get in and out. Close to many lovely cities and towns and nice to come home to each night. Such a very special trip!
