Lisidor We are a quiet, well travelled and respectful family of 3 who have rented lots of lovely properties in Europe and around the world. We drove down from Lake Garda where we had been staying at a wonderful hotel. We had been looking forward to Lisidor as a quiet and relaxing week after London, Venice and Garda as we now live on the other side of the world. We were told by the host not to arrive before 4pm and must be gone by 9am sharp the following Saturday (the cleaner arrived at 8:45 to check us out and see us off promptly - I understand Villa’s need to be cleaned and prepared for the next guests but seriously 7 hours, the cleaner supposedly came midweek and we had to leave the villa as we found it). Back to arrival, we were greeted cooly by the same cleaner, not the host as she lives 4 hours away, who showed us around and provided a list of what we would be charged for when leaving if things were broken - glasses, plates, tiles, sheets, windows etc etc. - who did they expect at 800 EUR a night - wealthy gypsies? We signed the electricity reading and were told we would be charged accordingly, we were also shown a note to clean all dishes and glasses and return them to their proper places the morning we left as well as remove all food and drink + garbage. Which to be fair we would do as a matter of courtesy anyway. There were signs on the kettle and coffee maker to only use bottled water but there was limited chlorine in the pool and we found two mice in the pool during our stay. We handed over 350E bond and off she went. This was a pretty negative start to our stay, a nicer touch would be to have a stand-in host there to warmly greet you and speak enough english to settle guests in. I wanted to watch the football finals the night we arrived but as could not get the tv to work for a long time I contacted Petra and her sister who eventually did manage to get the Italian coverage working via text/calls but we had no Sat TV for our stay. It was hot but annoyingly the air-con did not work in our room - yes we would be charged for running it though - a/c in Italian villas is not the norm but we had chosen Lisidor on all its listed merits. I also thought it interesting that the owners had the pool pump on all day/night when electricity is so expensive. The cleaner supposedly came on Wednesday but the place was not cleaned nor tidied and nothing other than a few plastic bottles we had in a bag were taken - the garbage was left in the bin and when I asked the host where the bin bags were we were told they were supplied...

Absolutely wonderful place to stay! Enjoyed an entire week there with large family and it all felt so comfortable and inviting. Quiet location to enjoy stunning views and food/wine and pool/tennis with trips to Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, Radda, Gaiole throughout the week. Petra was fantastic with recommendations about places to go, sights to see, wine tasting, best restaurants in the area. Will look to stay here on our next vacation to Tuscany! Grazie Mille!

An absolutely idyllic villa, even better in real life than the photos. Beautiful scenery & modern accommodation, completely secluded and all to yourself... but with a private pool & tennis court to keep you entertained! Petra was brilliantly responsive to all our needs and immediately resolved any issues with the accommodation.

Das Haus lag sehr ruhig auf einer Anhöhe mit Blick über die Weinberge und war sehr gepflegt, die Küche bestens ausgestattet und die Bäder waren sehr ansprechend. Der Pool hatte eine gute Größe und der hauseigene Tennisplatz war eines der Highlights unseres Urlaubs. Übernahme/Übergabe verliefen reibungslos und das Servicepersonal vor Ort war professionell und ausgesprochen freundlich. Petra und Alexa empfehlen wir gerne als Gastgeber. Sie haben uns vor und während unseres Aufenthaltes mit vielen hilfreichen Informationen versorgt und waren immer ansprechbar.
