My daughter-in-law and her 3 month old son needed to escape the high temperatures at a lakeside event a few miles away. They joined me at my longer stay during the heat of midday. Being able to arrive after a 20 minute ride and to enter air conditioning, take a cool shower, nap on Nana’s bed wile 40 year old watched YouTube was a godsend. We returned to the event after it cooled off & both boys had a successful event. The cleanliness, attention to detailed and accurate instructions, the comfortable bed & furniture, and the ability to take the boys out through the back gate to load into the car was made easier by José kindly building step that was better navigated by young & old alike. Taft may not be a dream destination but it has its charms (American Graffiti type cruising on Friday night, gorgeous tawny hills, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, visible stars, every kind of fast food drive-thru you could want) If you find yourself in need of lodging in the area, this is perfection!
