Our vacation rental cabin is located in a peaceful and rural setting, surrounded by 1,600 acres of Manistee National Forest and a short 1-minute walk to all sports Pettibone Lake. This cozy cabin is the perfect getaway for those looking to escape the city and enjoy the great outdoors. Cozy and charming 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom space that's perfect for your next getaway! With 900 square feet of living space, you'll have room to relax and unwind. Dedicated work space with high speed internet and WiFi. Both bedrooms and living room are equipped with Roku TV to ensure you don’t miss a minute of your favorite shows. The fully stocked kitchen is a real standout feature, boasting two beams which adds a unique touch of character to the space, custom-built walnut countertops and a coffee bar! Outdoor Space: Pettibone Place has a deck equipped with an outdoor dining area, gas BBQ grill, utensils and spices to grill your favorite meals! We also include cornhole boards/bags to toss around on those beautiful summer days. You'll also find 2 kayaks and a dolly for easy transport to Pettibone Lake! (2 lifejackets included). To close out the evening, relax at the campfire and roast some S'mores! Our property is set on a double lot. Pettibone Lake: This sandy bottom lake features a public boat launch across the street, sandbar, great fishing, kayaking and boating. Manistee National Forest: The Manistee National Forest covers a vast area of land in the western part of the state. It is a part of the Huron-Manistee National Forests, which also includes the Huron National Forest. The forest is managed by the United States Forest Service and offers visitors a wide range of recreational activities and natural beauty to explore.

We had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend stay with our dog and friends. Our dog loved the short walk to the lake. There were thoughtful touches and a perfect amount of space for 2 couples.
Very cute, clean and comfy home that was perfect for two couples for our adventurous weekend. We felt like we each had our own space with one bedroom and bath upstairs and another bedroom and bathroom in a lower area. Common space was sufficient with a functional kitchen. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!
When walking into Pettibone Place it was clear that the pictures could not do it justice. The property was so well thought out and had everything you would need or want for a getaway and even extras that you would not have thought of. The cottage is so beautifully decorated and welcoming! We had a wonderful time enjoying a bonfire and reading on the deck. Very quiet neighborhood and kayaking around the lake was very relaxing. We would love to visit Pettibone Place again and will highly suggest it to others.
A restful place to stay while venturing out to forest trails and lake activities. Sarah’s place is modern and thoughtfully stocked to meet a traveler’s needs. There were two kayaks provided and a lake across the street, which enabled us to set out on the water on a blue-sky day. We also had a relaxing and tasty dinner at Newaygo Brewing Company. Our foursome and dog all enjoyed our time in rural Michigan. We recommend Sarah and Kasey’s place with pleasure.
We had a wonderful stay! Our bed was really comfortable and there were all kinds of thoughtful touches that made the place really convenient and fun. We would love to come back and stay even longer next time.
