An exceptionally well positioned two-bedroom first floor apartment, located within a Victorian villa within easy walking distance to the town centre. The property has fantastic views over Salcombe and the harbour from the lounge and main bedroom. The property benefits from being quiet yet also extremely convenient for the bustling seaside centre and mooring pontoons at Whitestrand. The South West Coast Path offers stunning walks and the property is within easy reaches of the sandy beaches at East Portlemouth, South Sands and North Sands, making it the perfect place for a Coastal break. Access is from the front of Glenthorne House. The apartment comprises an open plan kitchen/ sitting area /dining room with a well-equipped kitchen, seating for 4 guests and a cosy sitting area to relax. The kitchen includes a range of fitted units, fitted electric oven with gas hob, microwave, Magimix coffee machine, washer/dryer and dishwasher. The sitting room has fantastic views over the estuary, two comfortable sofas, dining table, chairs, TV/DVD player and amazon firestick. The main bedroom has a comfortable king size (5ft) bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and dressing table. The second bedroom comprises of two single beds, drawers, wardrobe and TV. Bathroom with bath, shower (over) W.C, wash hand basin and heated towel rail. Linen: Duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels provided. Heating: Gas fired central heating to radiators. Parking: One allocated parking space. Wifi available.
Great location, with allocated parking a big plus for the area as there isn’t much locally. Also great to have books on local walks and a folder with local services etc. provided. Plenty of room for 3 of us, shower wonderful!

We had a lovely week in Salcombe despite storm Carien making an appearance. The apartment is immaculately presented and a pleasure to stay in. The view from the living room window worth the rent alone. Lots of little touches, books, games, a well equipped kitchen make it a comfortable stay. We will be back. Fabulous. Clean and tidy with lovely comfy beds. We loved that it had everything you could possibly need from tea and coffee to little pots to take snacks out for a picnic. Great bathroom with deluge shower. Location is fantastic being only a few hundred metres from the centre which are full of pubs restaurants and cafes as well as a large selection of shops. There are some great walks close by and we managed to explore with the Labrador all over the place.
Salcombe has a wide range of clothing stores, art galleries, independent boutique, restaurants and delicatessens. Crabbing on the quay has been loved by generations of children, and the house is in the ideal location for boating, trips to the beach, ambling into town and indulging in a spot of people watching.
Travel links- South Devon is easy to reach by road with the M5 bringing you to the region before linking to the A38, which runs through the centre of the county linking Exeter and Plymouth.
The nearest train station to Salcombe is Totnes, which is accessible by trains travelling from London and Birmingham.
The nearest Airport is Exeter Airport. Exeter is approximately 45 miles from Salcombe, though Exeter has excellent train transport links to Totnes.
Bristol Airport is approximately 120 miles via car to Salcombe, or via train to Totnes.
