James was a wonderful host. The place is extremely well taken care of and it has everything you need. Kitchen is full of appliances and tools and there is plenty of firewood: everything you need to have a relaxing vacation. I would highly recommend James's charcuterie boards, I shared it with two friends and it was some of the best we've ever had. James is really friendly and extremely reasonable so I would highly recommend it.

This was my first AirBnB experience, and I couldn't have asked for better. James has a hidden gem in this property! Located close enough to town to pick up a forgotten item, but once on the property, the feeling of absolute privacy and connection to nature was very much appreciated. James was just as content to leave us alone as he was giving a tour of his impressive garden and Lodge. He prepared a lovely charcuterie snack lunch after the tour. My more experienced AirBnB friends tell me this is not typical and how impressive it was. Really enjoyed my stay here.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. The cottage and surroundings are beautiful, felt like a little oasis in the forest. James was a great host — responsive, accommodating and patient. He showed us around the property and answered any questions we had. And if you enjoy a charcuterie board, we’d recommend asking James to prepare one for your stay — ours was excellent!

James was a amazing host who responded to any questions I had. He also let us get private time in his the hot tub since it was on his property. He made us feel super at home. Beautiful cabin and land. Would definitely stay again!

Where to start? This cabin is fabulous. It’s an oasis. The surroundings and the view are spectacular! The property is expansive with lots of opportunity for walks and exploring. The cabin grounds are well laid out, lots of space for the dogs to romp and play. There are floaties and small kayaks for the lake. The firepit is a great spot to sit and hang out, make dinner or breakfast. Jamie also makes the most amazing charcuterie platters with home cured meats and homemade cheeses. There’s plenty to do without ever leaving the property or there are some great hikes in the area, which Jamie kindly described to me so I could choose a fun local outing for me and my pups. This is my new favorite Airbnb. Jamie is a great host and he’s created a truly amazing experience for his guests! I can’t wait to return :)
