I loved staying here, it was peaceful and quiet and the house was as described. I had a short stay and didn’t spend much time in the house but it was good when I did. Unfortunately I did have a couple issues which either didn’t seem worth bringing up or came up late in my second night so there wasn’t really the time to ask the host, expect a reply and then do whatever needed doing. This was; -mice. My snacks were thoroughly nibbled at in the morning and I found a dropping on the kitchen worktop where I suppose it came to find crumbs. -hot water was my main issue. Following the instructions I just expected to be able to shower when I’ve been outside all day, cold and muddy. No. Tried the bath, no hot water at all. Eventually got a VERY temperamental shower hot & cold very unpleasant. -dust in the corners, high shelves etc, not a biggie but dust mites allergies abound. It really detracted from what was otherwise a lovely spot and a nice house, I hope these will improve eventually.

This was just perfect for what I was looking for: peace and quiet, with lots of interesting locations within easy driving range. The clincher though, for a musician, was the presence of that lovely old piano in the front room. It was a joy to have so much playing time during my short stay at Colliston Mill. I'll definitely be back!

Andy's Hidden House is exactly as shown and described on the listing. The space was more than enough for two us to stretch our legs and relax away from the city environment for our short stay - though the house would be great for a long stay too! (We didn't use the washing machine but there is one available which is great for a long stay). We especially enjoyed utilizing the spacious kitchen (just about all essentials included, except we supplied our own foil wrap :-)) and tinkering with the piano in the evening - what a lovely plus! The location is exactly as we expected, pleasantly secluded/peaceful while still easy to get around by car to Arbroath (and Dundee) nearby. Very easy to find amenities and walks along the coast at just a 10-minute drive. Andy offers thoughtful extras such as eggs, coffee and bread. His communication and instructions were impeccable. It was very easy to do the self check-in and check-out. We would not hesitate to recommend.

Where do I start it. Such a beautiful house with great views and great walks. If u feel the need to get away for a peaceful calming trip away to the countryside this the place for you !!!!. Andy was very helpful and responsive will definitely be rebooking in the future.
