Emily’s was wonderful for the entire group. I am a big fisherman and on the first day I snuck down to the waters edge to test the fishing. Within 20 yards of the dock I caught crappie, smallmouth bass, walleye, pike and yellow perch all in the hour and 1/2 before dark! Just flipping a little plastic jig at the weed-line in 6-9ft of water. It was like a greeting kiss from Crane Lake. Really fun renting a pontoon from Handbergs and heading north in the lake system. Highlights were shore lunches on big bedrock islands. Very few bug on the stone islands. Had a big pike try and eat a walleye at one island shore lunch. I grabbed him by the scruff of his like neck and he wriggled free but dropped our lunch. Lots of bird watching from the lodge including hummungbirds, giant wood peckers, and bald eagles. Grouse I. The woods and on the islands. Otters, loons, and beavers in the bays. We saw a martin or a weasel one day. Emily was a friendly and responsive host. :)

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin! We have stayed at another cabin hosted by Emily several times over the years, and it is always a really great experience. This is our favorite cabin to stay in so far, the panoramic views of the lake from up high are stunning, and it is such a peaceful setting. We really enjoyed the woodfired sauna and a jump into the lake on a chilly morning. Staying on an island is such a unique experience like no other, and Emily was so responsive and easy to communicate with. Everything was very clean when we arrived and so many thoughtful touches in the cabin. We can’t wait to come back next year, highly recommend!

What an amazing place! Of all our adventures in Voyageurs, this has been the best! We come up almost every summer and normally do a houseboat. We loved the accommodations, sauna, fire pit and well appointed kitchen! We hope to return for future family outings!

It was a very cute cabin in a beautiful lake with beautiful surroundings. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a getaway.

Wow! This is a great AirBnB to sleep 4. We had success catching northern pike in the bays nearby - recommended to us by the friendly Marina staff. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the cookware you need to cook a great fish dinner. When we were off the water, we had a BLAST in the sauna, & cold plung into the lake. Or just sitting on the deck, enjoying the beautiful view. Both cabins were clean, working water & electricity, and wildlife decore. Our host left us great instructions for the property, and was available when we had questions. Only knit pick - one of the mattresses is too soft/worn-in to get a good night’s sleep on.
