I can't imagine a more magical place for our family to spend a week in Puerto Rico! We immensely enjoyed the lush rain forest and inspirational architecture of the tiny houses and outdoor showers and paddling around the serene lake. Everyone working on the farm was SUPER kind and hospitable to our 3 young children (ages 3, 8, & 9). We learned so much from Fernando, Arielle, Sergio, and Jaime. We got to watch oxen plowing a new field, help plant & water, try fresh cacao and sugar cane. We even got to participate in arranging tropical wedding flowers and carving cement for a new outdoor shower. We already miss all the fresh air and our new friends! Good people with a refreshing vision :)

Hace frío, vale la pena llevar ropa caliente. La experiencia es espectacular si eres amante de los lugares retirados. Hay algo de señal de celulares pero no es mucho. Hay que bajar bastante para llegar al lago pero tiene escalones. En fin una chuleria de espacio!! Se los súper recomiendo ❤️

So much beauty in the experience it is so hard to put into words. We were treated like family with children ranging 5/7/10 yrs old from the moment we drove in, we were met with hospitality till the moment we left. Privacy was given and most of all accommodation of our little ones. Safety was observed and education of the land was given absolutely amazing! I recommend the tour 100%. The moment we left we felt like we needed to plan the next trip back immediately. My kids will always cherish this trip. I too as a father and husband will hold it close. Know this is a Farm on a mountain resources will need to be respected and kept in mind. There is a lake not too far from the stay, it is a hike. Please bring life vest it is deep. Worth the drive to Walmart to buy one if you don’t have one 30min drive. Next time we will bring long sleeves and pants to volunteer in the forest. We must give back to the land and help in anyway. Arielle, Fernando and Tío Jaime are amazing hosts. They showed us around the farm and shared information about the local restaurants, places of interest and what they do in their farm. My mom even got some plants from their nursery and shared some nursing tips too! For me, it was the nature, the ceramics and how I call it, “architecture porn”. Sunday morning they booked us a yoga class by the deck, it was so relaxing! Highly recommend it! After, a walk to the lake is the way to go. There’re cute ducks and turtles. You can paddle board too… Mira, Carite is “Tierra Mágica y Sagrada”. The cottages are beautifully designed. The climate, even though it’s a very hot summer, was perfect and cozy during the night. I wanted to stay longer and become part of the magic…
