Beautifully appointed, fully furnished home. Each room has its own unique style and charm, and the shared spaces in the house, including the kitchen, living room, and outdoor patio, are tastefully decorated and fully equipped for your comfort and convenience. The house is located in the desirable Kerns neighborhood next to Whole Foods, Starbucks and the restaurants and shops of 28th Ave and Burnside. Free laundry facilities and secure keyless locks for each room and the common spaces! The host does not live on premises and you will share no space with the host. Host is a short drive away and can be at the house if needed within five to ten minutes. This is a private room with a keyless entry deadbolt on the door. The room has a television and is equipped with extra sheets and blankets, towels and washcloths and a laundry basket and shower caddy. We set the space up for longer stays. There are two bathrooms, a full bath upstairs and a half bath on the main floor, the full bath upstairs has a "vacant/in use" deadbolt on it for privacy. In the kitchen, each room has a shelf in the refrigerator and one full cupboard for their food items. Each room also has a shelf in the hallways for linens and a drawer in the upstairs bathroom. There is laundry downstairs with a magnetic sign-up on the door for each room and unit. There are racks for each unit in the laundry room as well as seprate shelf space.
The location was pretty much unbeatable in regard to public transit, restaurants, bars, parks, and entertainment. The place is fully stocked with household supplies and items so the only thing you need to worry about is food while you’re there. I recommend greatly!
Joel and Amanda's place is in a stellar neighborhood in Portland - walkable to lots of great restaurants and the very cool Laurelhurst Theater. Whole Foods is conveniently right next store for grocery shopping. I found it easy to park on the street right in front of the house or adjacent to it. The space was warm, clean, and comfortable (with a very cozy bed!) plus had clear guidelines for shared spaces, making it easy to share common areas. Even more, Joel and Amanda were super kind and willing to work with me when I had a change of plans. Excellent and prompt communication. Thank you so much!
This was the perfect place to stay in Portland. Close to everything you need, parks, restaurants, grocery stores, even a cool small house theater(Laurelhurst Theater). I loved the coffee shop Crema. The home itself had everything to make your stay completely comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed. Bathrooms are clean, with great towels and well stocked. The bedroom was lovely with storage, a nice desk and a very comfortable bed. The living room and dining room are tastefully decorated. And a lovely porch off the kitchen. Joel has really made the house feel like a home.
