If you want to enjoy a truly local experience in a clean, budget friendly and safe area, this is the place to stay. The room is accurately depicted in the pictures and the private terrace garden is a wonderful bonus. You are a short walk to the Bodega(Mexican Walmart) as well as Sam’s club and the Collectivo(local bus, 10 peso ) is conveniently located a one minute walk away. Manny the host,is the star of this establishment. His friendly attitude and local knowledge is unparalleled. He responded right away after booking and picked us up at the ferry from Playa. We would definitely book here again.

Manuel is a very friendly, welcoming, and kind host. His place is good value, clean, and quiet, and the A/C is extremely effective! The room is also not too close to the main touristic centre of the town, which is great because everything is cheaper and less touristy.

Manuel is a truly hospitable person. If you are looking for a friendly face, someone to tell you all about the island, great stories, and a simple, quiet place to stay, look no further. I will literally make a point when I come back to Cozumel to visit him and his wife, Lucy (who lives below) and his helper, Poncho, because they were all such lovely people to interact with. As far as amenities, the room had everything I needed- shower, a tiny portable stove for heating quesadillas, a fridge, two beds, and a nice patio too. This was a lot more of a social stay than I had anticipated, but it ended up being just the thing I needed. I leave Cozumel with a full heart.
