Great place to stay! A beautiful, rustic cabin with modern amenities in a peacefully quiet, picturesque area. The cabin is near beautiful hikes, has its own fire ring, grill, and wood-burning stove, a generously-sized backyard, and chic mid-century modern furniture. Sam & Mary Ann were very thoughtful and communicative with us. We hope to be back again!!

We were visiting in late November. We actually cooked Thanksgiving dinner here. Their oven and microwave heated up so fast... tiny detail we noticed in case you need to cook a lot. The interior of the house was very cozy and inviting. The beds were firm. We stayed with 2 adults and 2 young kids, and we had an additional 2 adults (the grandparents) stay one of the nights. Because of the high ceilings, the place never felt crowded, even with 6 of us in there. The fireplace was great, though it does generate a lot of smoke when getting it started. I wish we brought some face masks at least for the kids. The hosts provided us with tons of kindling and an axe which was a great help. The kids loved exploring the outdoor areas - collecting ice that had formed on the lake, swinging on the rope that hangs from the tree in the backyard, and following animal tracks. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Definitely check out the book mill and peace pagoda.

The cabin is beautiful. It is clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. My husband and our two children enjoyed our time at the cabin and we plan to come back soon. We will recommend it to all our friends too. Sam answered all our questions and did let us stay a bit past check-out time since there were no new guests arriving that day. THANKS, Sam.

This is a beautiful lake house! Felt like home as soon as we walked in. House was very clean, cozy and welcoming. The beds are amazingly comfortable and Mary Ann and Samuel are fantastic hosts. Had a girls weekend and even though it rained we had such a relaxing time by the wood burning fireplace and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook great meals. We can't wait to visit again!

we went for parents weekend at UMass and at first we were worried about the drive from campus but once we saw the place and the “vibes” we knew it wouldn’t matter. We spent the whole day saturday at the house , going out on the pedal boats, sitting around the fire, and just hanging out. it was the perfect spot. The house was so clean inside and had all the basics… We will definitely be renting again. Oh- and the hosts were very receptive to any questions or communication needs. Thank you again - the Slaneys
