On the east end of the island, you’ll be within just a few minutes of St. George Island State Park. Explore the surrounding waters by boat via the private dock, or pack your bikes and hit the St. George Island Bike Path, which you can hop onto at the end of the street. All the shops, restaurants, and beach bars of central St. George are a little over three miles away. At home, grab some coffee and spend mornings soaking up the sea breeze and bay view from the screened balcony. Inside, you’ll find a wide-open floor plan with high ceilings and plenty of space to spend time together. Step into the full kitchen to whip up mealtime masterpieces, then serve up your culinary creations at the dining table in the breakfast nook. After a day on the beach, rinse off the sand in the outdoor shower, then cool off in the central AC while the washer/dryer take care of any laundry. Entertainment options include four TVs, free cable, and WiFi. Even better, grab a board game and unplug entirely, or step back out to the deck for a sundown cocktail. Three well-appointed bedrooms await at the end of the night. No dog(s) are welcome in this home. No other animals are allowed without specific Vacasa approval. <br/>Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles. <br/>Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a damage waiver fee which covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. This house needs significant upgrades. Checking in the lock didn’t open properly. One shower, the other bathroom had a tub only. No garbage disposal in the kitchen, all appliances look like they are from the 80’s. Dishwasher sounded like the ocean waves were in the house. Ice machine was out of order. We looked around the house for a W&D and it couldn’t be found. Messaged Vacasa and they didn’t know where the said area was. Found it later outside below us in the carport area locked. So we were unable to use it for half of the trip until someone was able to unlock it because they couldn’t find the key. The other half of the trip the Air conditioner went out and smoke detector was beeping. Found out the smoke detector was a year out of date from the time that you’re supposed to change it out 10 year period. So the batteries that Vacasa exchanged on the smoke detector started beeping even more because the detector was out of date Nov 13, 2012. Dock doesn’t have a lift if you bring a boat
The beds at this property are from the 1970's- stained & wore out, unusable. The furniture torn & stained also worn out. The sink had rust, the ice maker broken, the shower dripped cold water on you from above while trying to take a hot shower to relieve the daily back pain from trying to sleep on sagging worn out beds. We only weigh 185 lbs, our daughter that weighs 114 lbs left a dip in the (softest) master bed that persisted for 2 days after she left early. We left 2 days early to avoid being crippled by back pain from the worn out beds. The 2 queen beds were unusable & I had to (try to) sleep on a twin bed . The front stairs were overly steep , cracked, and likely unsafe. We couldn't even get in due to the door batteries being dead on our arrival. Maintenance man had to come, and give us his code to use. The location & view were great, but it's clear the owner will not put a penny into furnishing or upkeep. Never again would I stay here.
