Let me divide this into two parts the locality and the amenities of the place. In terms of locality, the nearby areas are very shady. The place is in a very narrow lane next to Kovalam beach. There are street hawkers all over the place. One can barely move around on a bike forget a car. One feels very unsafe especially if you have lived in any metro city in India. In terms of the amenities I would say the host has tried his best. The room was clean and cozy. The AC good. There is no lift so be careful about which floor you book. I was given the third floor. Now the horror part - I had to get my car into this lane to unload my stuff and exit again. The parking is in an open lot. I asked a cop if that is safe. He said NO. I left the place within 2 hours of check-in. I got a part refund. In terms of pricing I got a 4 star hotel in Trivandrum at about 10% more on Christmas. So it is expensive. The owner is trying his best but is not giving you the full picture. Avoid.

Very clean small hotel a stone's throw away from the beach. Looked exactly like the pictures. The family who runs the hotel were friendly and attentive. Upon our arrival the room was nicely prepared and had the AC going already.

Mani was a generous and helpful host, would stay again. From local recommendations, lending an umbrella for rain, and accommodating an early morning check in time, Mani was one of the most hospitable hosts I’ve experienced.

We finished our trip in india staying in namastay for 2 nights. Mani spoke to us before we arrived at the premises to make sure there was anything he could help with. Everything at namastay is perfect for people on a mid level budget. Lovely clean rooms, great a/c, comfy beds and secure. You get really good value for your money and the breakfast especially was superb, it kept us going all day. But the real gem about this place was Mani, he went above and beyond to help us with anything he could to make our last days in India special. You can tell he has a good heart and cares a lot about his guests. I recommend anybody to stay here.
