The house is near the beach In Ferring by Bovbjerg Lighthouse in beautiful natural surroundings. You can take the stairs up the tower and experience the magnificent view, take the stairs down to the beach where people occasionally stand with their fishing rods, experience paragliding flying in the air with the beautiful brightly colored displays, go for a walk and just enjoy the fresh sea air or maybe enjoy an ice cream good company. A little further north you will find the beautiful white sandy beach, which invites you to take a trip in the waves, play with kites, etc. The nearest grocery store is 3km from the house located in Fjaltring. Lemvig is a wonderful town with a very nice holiday feel and great viriaty of shops.
Harboøre lies in a flat area on the border between Harboøre Tange and the hillier landscape towards Lemvig. The area is almost surrounded by dykes on all sides, to the west as protection against the North Sea, to the east as protection against Nissum Bredning. Just outside Harboøre you can experience Denmark's second oldest rescue station; Flyvholm Rescue Station, which was closed in 1995. It is today a museum where you can get a good insight into the dramatic battles that took place at sea to save lives. It is also in Harboøre that the protected nature area Haarum is located, and every year is a big draw because of the big "Haze over Haarum" music festival which is held in June. In addition, there is a wonderful cycle route between Thyborøn and Harboøre, which runs close to the sea.
Thyborøn is a distinctive fishing town with a lively harbor environment, where you can buy fresh fish to take home for the barbecue, unless you want to go out with the line yourself. You can visit the Coastal Center or the Jutland Aquarium. You can take a trip past the unique "snail house" that a single man has spent his life building, or why not experience the Thyborøn Fortress, one of the largest bunkers along the West Coast.
