John’s place was spotless and comfortable, the full kitchen had everything needed. They are very nice people in a very friendly neighbourhood. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the place and people to anyone looking for either a long or short term accommodation.

Just back home from a 1 week stay at John’s Columbia beach Air BNB in Qualicum , my wife and I in our early 60’s and our two doodle dogs. This is a great spot of you like quiet and easy access (across the street) to beach walks. There are lots of restaurants a couple of kms drive away in both Qualicum and Parksville, and a Save-on Foods full grocery just down the street. We ate out half the time for dinner, other nights cooked dinner in the suite - full kitchen and stove, microwave , etc. Everything in the suite was clean and modern and in good repair. Very quiet main floor suite that looks out to the back yard - even though the owner and their two dogs live upstairs, we rarely heard them. This is great and very ‘dog-friendly’ suite -best I have ever stayed in! sectioned off and fenced the side gravel area for dog business , with outside shower head to wash sandy beach paws, as well back yard and patio with table to eat outside in green space. Loved it, will stay again!

Our stay was great!! So close to the oceanfront with many public accesses across the street and down the block. Very close to French Creek where we went on a Whale watching trip and saw many humpback whales and other local wildlife. Very close to both Parksville and Qualicum Beach where we visited many beaches and activities. There is also a green space closeby with walking paths where we saw two Great Blue Heron. Very safe area in Columbia Beach neighborhood. The suite is private and cozy with two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen/dining area and lounge area. There is also a backyard patio with sitting area, lounge chairs with fenced yard and clothes drying rack. Our dogs appreciated the backyard where they could safely roam and laze around. Our hosts were very responsive and answered our questions in a timely manner. We were provided eggs, bread, margarine, snacks, coffee and tea. Overall it was a great experience and we would recommend Johns Place and stay again.

Our stay at John’s place was wonderful. The pictures are very accurate and there was lots of space for myself, my husband, baby and pup. John was very responsive when we had questions. In addition, he promptly let us know we had forgot our newly purchased beach blanket after we checked out so we were able to go back and grab it in time! :)
