Beechnut Springs is located in the heart of beautiful Middletown valley. The valley stretches from the Catoctin mountains to the east and to South Mountain on the west. A wonderful place where you can come away from the busyness of life and spend time taking in the simple beauty of mountains, wandering creeks, dairy farms, and rolling pastures.
Our 14-acre property sits midway between Frederick & Hagerstown MD. Both towns have quaint historic downtown areas loaded with boutiques, restaurants, and specialty shops. We are close to Gettysburg PA, Harpers Ferry WV, 3 state parks, ski resorts, multiple golf courses, Appalachian trail, water sport outfitters, racing drag strip, antique shops, trout fishing & hiking trails on the property, & civil war battlefields close by for a step back in history. Looking for a big city adventure and touring, Washington DC and Baltimore are only one hour away.
As you enter Beechnut Springs, crossing over Catoctin Creek, you may catch a glimpse of blue heron fishing for trout or the herd of cattle grazing in the fields on the other side of Creekside fishing hole pavilion.
After passing Creekside fishing hole on your way to sleepy hollow cabin you will go by the Bog Shack snowball stand and pavilion. A popular local weekend attraction that serves Hawaiian shaved ice cones in the evenings Thursday - Sunday 4pm - 8pm.
Further down the trail you will find the entrance to sleepy hollow log cabin, nestled among the moss-covered mountain boulders and tucked into the wooded mountain hillside. With so much to do and see at Beechnut Springs, you will find yourself transported to another world of fun and relaxation!
