Kellys newly built house is likely the best place to stay in McCarthy. Ideal place to start the most authentic experience of true wilderness in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. Everything was still really new, beautiful large kitchen even better than our own, everything was clean. Amazing view to the glaciers. Kelly flew in to pick us up and showed us around. The best stay we had in Alaska and we would certainly come back.

The Donaho House is not only a place we will stay again, but we will also refer our friends and family to it. It is clean, comfortable, well stocked with all you could possibly need (other than food) and located within easy walking distance to McCarthy stores, restaurants, bars and the shuttle stop. The mountain views are amazing and we saw a moose grazing right off the deck. Kelly communicated well and arranged for pickup and then personally dropped us off at the footbridge. I’ve stayed at a lot of rental properties all over the country and the Donaho House is definitely a “10”.

Kelly's place is the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in! Absolutely beautiful house, so spacious and comfortable with an amazing view (glacier views from the deck and windows). Beds were super comfy and the bedrooms so spacious. The kitchen had everything you could need. Felt like a home away from home. Kelly was a great host, gave us local recommendations and was so easy to communicate with and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Kelly is very friendly, their house is so fabulous, wonderful view, very cozy and comfortable, kitchen is great, there is everything you want! I highly recommend to you if you plan to stay in the great national park, very convenient, 5 minutes walking to the downtown, the shuttles are there for our glacier hiking, river raft,I can say it is the most beautiful house in the Wrangle St, Elias national park.
