This one bedroom, one bath private basement with a separate entrance and dedicated parking space is conveniently located in Portland’s Woodstock neighborhood. Walking distance from Trader Joe’s, Reed College, East Moreland golf course and the Woodstock main strip. A quick drive to many other vibrant SE Portland neighborhoods, including Sellwood and Division, as well as downtown Portland. The space includes a Kitchenette stocked with microwave, mini fridge, and a coffee machine. It includes a smart TV and Wi-Fi, a cozy queen sized bed and a small couch. A washer/dryer is available if needed. The bathroom is recently renovated and includes basic amenities. My husband and I live in the main level of the house, so we will be available for any additional needs. There are no shared spaces and we will only come down into the space if you need us to! That being said, our home is old and not sound proof. Our footsteps are easily heard from the basement, but we try and keep that to a minimum. There is heat that is controlled on the main level, we will be available to adjust for you as needed. No air conditioning, but the basement stays pretty cool and the room includes a fan and a window that can be opened.

Taylor’s place was perfect for our needs. It was comfortable, clean and quiet. We would stay there again.
The place was cute and clean. Pictures were accurate, and the bedroom is spacious. It was a perfect intimate place for my husband and I to spend our honeymoon. The hosts were very responsive and sooo helpful. They went above and beyond to create a great getaway for us. Would definitely book again if we ever come back to Portland!

Taylor's place worked very well for my visit to my son, who lives very nearby. As others have mentioned it is bigger than it appears in the photos, otherwise the space is what you see in the photos. You have your own entry. Note that you do have to be able to walk down a flight of stairs to the basement. (wasn't a problem, but folks should be aware) The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is well equipped. The kitchenette has most of the basics. Taylor supplied coffee for my entire stay (very appreciated). And if I had a request for a household item, she got it to me right away. (also very appreciated) All in all, I would say that Taylor's place is a very good value.

The Woodstock neighborhood has a peaceful, neighborhood feel while also being close to the city. Just a quick walk to everything you may need- grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, bars and parks.
Coffee: Our favorite coffee shop- keepers coffee- is located just a few blocks away. Others we enjoy nearby are coffee beer, Esperanza trading co., and Papaccinos.
Grocery stores: Trader Joe’s is just a block down the main road. New Seasons and Safeway are also both about 3/4 of a mile away.
Restaurants: Nudi, Ottos, Cafe Rowan, Ate-oh-Ate, and Doublemountain brewery just to name a few!
Bars: 13th gravity moon is a small little bar attached to Keepers Coffee. Otherwise, the best bar scene is nearby in the Sellwood, Division, Hawthorne etc neighborhoods.
Parks: Kenilworth park, Berkeley Park with nice tennis courts, Woodstock Park. Reed College and the Rhododendron gardens are about a mile away and are a great place to walk with beautiful views.
