Very quiet peaceful setting on a quiet lake. Great view! Nice to have the hammocks for relaxing; great to have a deck, bench and stairs to the private dock with 2 kayaks and life vests. Cute cabin with all things needed for a quiet getaway!

My best friend and I needed some time away, to relax and unwind for a little. This location offered just that. Beautifully redone cabin, the pictures do no justice. Only downfall, as others have said, no curtains, but thanks to the privacy of the property, that wasn't TOO big of a deal. The lake is a bit mucky, so swimming isn't something you can do, but we LOVED walking down and sitting on the dock just listening to the loons. We were able to hike many local trails and visit Ocqueoc Falls along with Lake Huron. We are already planning a return visit. We HIGHLY recommend Christopher and his hidden gem.

The cabin looked just like the photos, and the lake was absolutely gorgeous. We were originally planning to just use the cabin to sleep and go do some other things in the area during the day(s), but once we arrived, we realized we would much rather enjoy our time relaxing by the lake, reading on the patio, kayaking, hammocking, listening to the loons, making s’mores, etc. on the property. The only thing we would have changed is adding curtains to the windows in the living room, kitchen, and bunk room, as it was sort of odd at night not having them. However, otherwise, we were completely thrilled with our experience here. We definitely want to return in the future!

We travelled with our young son -who’s not quite 2 yet-and stayed at the cabin a few days. I appreciated how free of clutter it was -the ease of checking in and the privacy afforded to us. The place is so still and peaceful. There was a beautiful trail just minutes away -and a little further out Cheboygan state park . Another unexpected bonus was a dvd collection that had some content my son thoroughly enjoyed as we prepared meals. Thank you Christopher
