We had a lovely stay in the house boat, which was plenty of room for our family and such a great location. I would definitely recommend and stay again :) One minor thing to be aware of is that phone connectivity on the boat is poor (I’m with 02) and wifi was patchy at best. Worth downloading a series/movie or two onto a tablet as a backup if this is your thing or you have kids to entertain.
It's a perfect place if you want to escape from social media and internet connection because the internet connection is almost zero.

Lady Eileen is situated on Maidstone River in Kent. Is in a quite location along a towpath opposite Allington Castle and Allington Marina. It isn't near any properties other than the neighbouring boats. You get locals walking their dogs who are always lovely and friendly.
Parking is a 5-minute walk to the Eileen along the river. It is a safe secure car park. However, you do need to pay for parking. For 48 hrs it is around £10, and you can come and go as you please throughout the duration you have paid.
Local transport such as buses are easy to find, and taxis run 24/7 in the area. Also, a walk into Maidstone Town takes around 20 minutes and it is a lovely scenic route along the river.
