Discover the Magic of Helpston Hideaway. Nestled in peaceful, private woodland, with private access and parking, but just a stone's throw from village amenities, you'll find our cosy wooden cabin, Helpston Hideaway. It's a perfect escape in the woodland and we've added some special touches to make your stay even more inviting during this time of year. Enjoy underfloor heating, the new bathroom with powerful shower, the elevated sleeping area (accessed up a ladder), and the cosy exposed timber interior. If you want extra heat there is also a cast iron electric fire for those cooler evenings, as well as snuggly blankets and fairy lights so you can just hunker down and relax. The cabin has a kitchen / dining area, open plan seating with tv, dvd and wifi. Outside, you'll find a seating area, fire pit, BBQ and plenty of private space.

An absolute treat, a peaceful oasis in a picturesque village… and a shop and a pub just down the road. Sophie is very thoughtful, leaving little extras and popping by with more coffee. Quirky and fun, would highly recommend her cabin.

Very clean, comfortable, and well cared for cabin in a beautiful area. Peaceful surroundings with some great walking spots. Sophie is a lovely and responsive host!

Had an absolute fantastic stay at Sophie’s place. The hideaway was clean, fantastically equipped, with a comfortable bed and a great kitchen. The hideaway is set in a peaceful location and the perfect getaway. We would love to return one day! Would recommend to anyone! 🙂

Lovely accommodation just as described. We loved the quirky ladders to the snug sleeping area but the set up does require some flexibility and not too many glasses of wine prior!!! The garden area is great and secure for dogs. Lovely area to explore. Rutland water is just beautiful and you could spend days and days walking different routes and seeing something different each time. Pub in walking distance served good food and was dog friendly. Small shop also in walking distance. Would recommend :)

Helpston is a friendly village with a pub, village shop and primary school. John Clare's Cottage is a visitor centre in the village with a cafe and cottage garden. Burghley house and Stamford are 10 minutes drive from Helpston and the village is on a bus route between Stamford and Peteborough.

Helpston Hideaway has it's own access and private parking for 2 cars. There is a regular bus service between Peterborough and Stamford and the bus stop is at the end of the driveway.
