Welcome to Old West Escapes! The Location Nestled in the heart of Island Park, Idaho at the foot of the majestic Sawtelle Peak, Old West Escapes resembles an 1880's Old West Town with all the comforts of home. We invite you to stay with us while enjoying your Yellowstone vacation, as we are just 25 minutes from the park's west entrance. The property is located on just over 4 acres that celebrates the hard working Pioneers, Native Americans, Lawmen, and Outlaws that had a hand in shaping the west. The cabins are a mix of 1 bedroom and 2 bedrooms each with unique style and décor to match. They include a full kitchen, stackable laundry, queen sized beds, sofa sleeper for the kids, and smart TV. The Mercantile The old west Mercantile store was vital for the locals to get what they need. It also became a social gathering spot for friends to catch up on the latest gossip. Our Mercantile is a brand new, cozy 768 sq ft cabin featuring 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and sofa sleeper for the kids. Perfect for small groups. Need another cabin to accommodate your gang? Enter Old West Escapes in the search bar to check out the other great listings in our Old West Town! The full kitchen includes all the basic cooking utensils you'll need with dining space for the group, the living area has comfy couches to enjoy the fireplace, or stream your favorite shows on the 50" smart TV, enjoy free programming on the Roku channel or feel free to sign in to your account on subscription based channels. (Just be sure to sign out before departing). Experience the incredible sunrise or sunset and take in the amazing views from the covered front porch, complete with comfy chairs. Got a little dirty while out exploring? Not a problem, the stackable laundry center will have you cleaned up and ready to go in no time. WiFi, towels, sheets, toilet paper, paper towels are all provided. Gas, Food, ATV/Snowmobile rentals and Supplies are all available just around the corner. Absolutely the PERFECT place to stay if you are wanting a peaceful and quaint accommodation approximately 20 minutes from the West entrance to Yellowstone. The description given is spot on. We ABSOLUTELY loved it and could’ve comfortably stayed for weeks! Can’t wait to visit again!

Old West Escapes was such a unique and fun place to stay. The Old Town concept makes you feel as if you have stepped back into the 1800's. We stayed in the Merchantite unit which was clean and comfortable with all the modern conveniences. The only thing that would make it better if we rode up in a stagecoach.

Staying in Island Park was a great base for exploring Yellowstone, while avoiding the extremely busy town of West Yellowstone. The area is beautiful, the place was pristine, and David and Julie communicated with us proactively. We especially enjoyed the front patio!

This is a beautiful cozy home! Being in a little western town is fun for all ages. We really enjoyed the privacy away from West Yellowstone. A nice grocery store is very close which was a concern of ours at first being a bit more remote then we are used to. The night sky is great at night as well! Definitely would come back again and bring more family!

Only 25 minutes from West entrance into Yellowstone National park and close to Henry's Fork on the Snake River. The cabin is also within 5 minutes of restaurants, gas station/grocery, ATV/Snowmobile rentals where you can grab anything you may need or the pesky little things you may have forgotten.
Getting Around
There isn't any public transportation in the area so you'll need to have a vehicle to get around. There are 700+ miles of trails that you can ride motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and snowmobiles etc. which are available for rent at High Mountain Adventures just around the corner.
