I actually did not stay at this place. When I arrived they wanted my CC number for "incidentals and damages." This information was not posted on the description of their place. I do not like to give my CC out to just anyone who asks for it. They would not check me in unless I gave them a card. I called AirBnB. They got my stay cancelled and a full refund. We found another place to stay. You should be made aware of this before you book. I would not have booked this place if I had been aware of this "policy" beforehand.

Check-in is far more complex than they explain, and response time to questions was about 18 hours. The phone # goes to some random lady’s phone. The place itself is a resort, which requires their own check-in process, including providing your credit card, again, as if you’re staying at a hotel. This is not explained ahead of time whatsoever, nor is it outlined in the Airbnb site. The place itself was clean, nice enough, and conveniently close to the beach. Not walkable to town, but we knew that ahead of time. If I was going to stay here again, I would just rent through the resort itself.

Great location and place. Friendly office staff. The pool wasn't available because of renovation. The carpenter made us drive over something that was being built with nails in it, and that was a little uncomfortable, but that's not really the Resorts fault. As far as the room, it was cute and loved the design. However, the floor was dirty and stained, and our back sliding glass door had an issue I had to fix. It was worthy he price though, and overall I had a great time and would go to them again. The staff were really friendly. overall positive with some minor issues

I booked Schooner Landing through airbnb.ca. The advertising pictures online showed a clean, albeit dated interior and bright blue with white trim exterior with beautiful beach views. When we arrived we were immediately turned off by the state of the exterior of the buildings. Rusted, horribly chipped paint, rotten looking wood everywhere. The front entryway to our unit was covered with bird droppings and grime. When we entered the accommodation we were disgusted to find severely stained carpets with a build up of black gunk in all of the corners and edges. The furniture was very dated as shown in the photos online, but not shown online was the spider webs hanging from ceiling fixtures and splatters and stains on all of the walls. All of the blinds were covered with red rust and windows were murky and smudged. We were so disgusted we actually cancelled our 2-night booking and took the partial refund. We would never book here again and suggest Schooner Landing update their photos.
