Welcome to Cedar Cottage! We are looking forward to the opportunity of hosting you. Nestled in one of Victoria’s most desirable neighbourhoods, this beautiful cottage offers peaceful rural living, and it is the perfect nature escape you have been looking for. A 5 minute drive from the ferries and an 8 minute drive from the airport, make this home the perfect location for our traveller friends. The Cottage sits on a private tree lined one acre lot surrounded by nature. Although it's only 30 minutes from downtown Victoria, the city couldn't feel any further away in the beautifully rural and secluded neighbourhood of Deep Cove. From hiking and biking trails, to gorgeous beaches, fresh produce farm stands and a gorgeous winery 2 minutes down the road; your days are sure to be filled with both adventure and relaxation. Within the cottage, you won't have any trouble getting comfy, cozy and entertained. Although a kitchenette and not a full kitchen, you will be pleasantly surprised at how well equipped it is to suit all your cooking needs. With the air fryer oven you can air fry, roast, bake, dehydrate, broil and much more. Its XL capacity holds a 15 in pizza, 20 lb turkey, 12 slices of bread, and up to 15 in x 13 pans! You can also find a Breville coffee maker with grinder included, kettle, a waffle and grill maker, a Masterchef hot plate, as well as many pots, pans, dishes and utensils. Lounge in the living room while you read a good book, watch TV, play board games or take a nap. Our family friendly home comes equipped with a play pen, infant car seat and a bob stroller all upon request. The smart TV gives you access to any app of your choice. All beds have been equipped with 100% cotton sheets and super soft pillows to guarantee a wonderful sleep. Treat yourself to a relaxing bubble bath or simply enjoy a hot shower in the luxurious bathroom. Kick back and take in the clean and fresh country air in your private seating area. Watch the many species of birds come and go and listen to the soft sounds of nature all around you.

Very good location, property and host.
We should have left right after arrival and not stayed here We arrived and the parking spot was a sloppy mess, light outside was burnt out n the door to the unit was unlocked when we arrived. They request that you take your shoes off on entry which I assume was due to the white washed flooring to our surprise the floors are just painted concrete and extremely cold. Unit is heated with 3 space heater which isn’t disclosed, my son has never seen a space heater n while I was unloading the vehicle he touch one n burned his hand - unit has no first aid kit Empty used drink containers left behind from previous guest You are not allowed to eat or drink in bedrooms as per house rules wash machine didn’t work (left with blisters from ringing out water from our wet clothing) - had mold in the ring of machine - dryer trap wasn’t cleaned from previous guest Hot water so hot water comes out steaming hot We froze, we couldn’t shower because it was so cold in the unit
We were charmed by the feel of the cottage. It is light and airy, with a high ceiling, lovely sheets and towels and dishes. Very clean. Nice location. We were there in a cold snap, but Aranza, who was delightful, kindly brought over space heaters and warmed it up. We would stay again, albiet perhaps in warmer weather.

This cottage is so dreamy! It's spacious and all of the decor is well thought out. The area is quiet and beautiful, and so convenient to get to Victoria and beyond. Highly recommend everyone to stay at this gem!

A 6 minute drive to "Sidney by the Sea" - Its historic and vibrant downtown district is the heart of the Saanich Peninsula. Locally owned storefronts, coffee shops, eateries, and more offer unique and memorable experiences year-round. At Deep Cove Market, located 3 minutes from our home, you can find some fresh local eggs and bacon to make yourself a true farm to table breakfast, or grab one of their delicious breakfast sandwiches with a coffee and eat it on the beach at Moses Point just down the road. Don't forget to visit the iconic Butchard Gardens only 20 minutes away.
