We have very mixed feelings about this home. The view is amazing. We loved to just sit on the deck and stare at the incredible view. The garden is beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. In fact, the last morning, one man had washed our car after driving the backroads of Akagera. Our beds were made with fresh linen every day.When we arrived the refrigerator was not working. It was repaired by 23:30 the next day. The biggest problem for us is the lack of any air conditioning or fans. None of the windows or doors had screens, so in a country known for malaria, we kept all doors and windows closed and struggled with the heat at night. Every window did have a ventilation vent above it, but we could not see any screening in it. Each room did have a little insect repellant dispenser in it, and I would say we were not bothered by mosquitos, but we were still VERY hot at night. Het is een mooi en groot huis op een mooie locatie maar de eigenaar heeft zwaar gefaald in de keuze van loodgieterij. Die is zwaar amateuristisch en er was geen stromend warm water. De aanpassing zal wat tijd en geld vragen. In de kamers zijn de kleerkasten krakkemikkig en in de keuken ontbrak bestek en kookmateriaal. Het huis ligt geïsoleerd, maar de privacy is niet volledig niet (personeel, café-en restaurant bezoekers) . Mits een extra inspanning zouden de problemen kunnen worden opgelost en het dubbele van de prijs worden gevraagd

I needed a break after a busy week in Kigali and I was pleased to find this amazing home. The team who works at the place were friendly and accommodating. They listened to feedback and so did the guest. The place is 15 Km after Kayonza towards Gatsibo. Not quite at the lake but the view of the lake give min away is great. The food from the Resto was equally great. The place is advertised as entire but at some points the team may need access. I requested the host to make that very clear in their description for guests who may want complete privacy. I would certainly book again as I felt refreshed here.
