Prachtige gerestaureerde wagon, the red Caboose. Alle oude details hersteld, maar met warm water, goede elektriciteit en een lekker bed! Buiten badje wat je kunt verwarmen via een donkey. Zeer goed geoutilleerd met olie, koffie, zout/peper en water en zelfs een fles wijn. Helaas ligt de trein alleen aan de doorgaande weg tussen Robinson en Mc Gregor, wat het idyllische plaatje een beetje verstoort.

Staying in the Red Gaboose, an old train wagon from 1941 was like stepping into a time capsule of nostalgia. The creaking of the wood, albeit without the rhythmic sway, it all transported us back to childhood train journeys. The cozy compartment and original vintage décor added to the charm, making it feel like a retreat from the modern world. It was a unique experience that reignited fond memories and sparked new adventures. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a nostalgic getaway.

Such a unique and novel experience. So much love and hard work has clearly been put into restoring The Red Caboose and making it comfortable and appealing, with everything guests could need for a short stay. Steph gave us a wonderfully friendly welcome and all the info we needed. Relaxing in the wood fired heated pool under the stars was simply blissful. Gorgeous outside area. All round an amazing stay and hope to go back.

I had a huge issue with this Airbnb, and the host didn't show any compassion and understanding. The listing is highly deceptive. The property is situated right next to a busy and noisy highway, with frequent traffic of cars and people passing by. There's a very low and weak fence separating the accommodation from the road, that anyone can jump over. The pool is tiny, more like a second tub, and located uncomfortably close to the highway, exposing you to all the passing people and cars. Also, The lack of privacy felt unsafe, as I was with a South African friend, who knows the area, warning me about potential risks due to the proximity to the road. The listing fails to depict these crucial details; all the photos are cleverly angled to hide the proximity to the highway, and there isn't a single image showing it or the fence. Also, there was an unpleasant smell coming from the toilet. We left and booked something way better for half the price. I regret booking this place, I wish I knew.

So eine tolle Unterkunft. Etwas wirklich besonderes dort zu übernachten. Klare Empfehlung. Und Steph hat uns toll geholfen. Es war wunderschön und nichts zu beantstanden.
