Built by the Amish for a Retired Air Force pilot that flew with Chuck Yeager, this was RJ’s summer retreat when he came to Ohio to visit his kids and grandkids. He was my neighbor for 20 years. A few of his pictures are up in the cabin. The house has 1 full (shower) and a half bath downstairs. A half bath is also upstairs with 2 bedrooms and a TV room. It is about 180 yards from the lake and my dock, which I'll share with you. The downstairs is all kitchen and bath, with a covered patio. Fully equipped, rustic, relaxing and convenient to the lake and surrounding area. We are about 10 minutes out of Hillsboro with accommodations for 4 with one queen bed and two twins that can be pushed together to make a king-sized bed (Twin is the default but I can set it for a king if you let me know at booking). The futon in the upstairs TV room can be folded down to a full “bed” but the TV room does not have its own door. The downstairs couch also folds out to a small bed if needed. The path to the lake has a hill, not a Norris Lake hill, but my 85-year-old parents get picked up at the lake gas station. From the front door it is a lasered 177 yards to the dock. You do not have a lake view (unless you join me on the dock in the morning). I have been making that trek about 20 years from my lake house next door.
