How to get there
Pelican Waters is about 96 km north of Brisbane and 7.7 km southwest of Caloundra. You can drive there via the Bruce Highway and Caloundra Road, or take a train from Brisbane to Landsborough and then a bus to Pelican Waters. Alternatively, you can fly to the Sunshine Coast Airport and rent a car or take a shuttle bus to Pelican Waters.
Where to stay
There are plenty of accommodation options in Pelican Waters, ranging from luxury resorts and villas to holiday parks and motels. We stayed at the Pelican Waters Resort on the 4th floor, which offers spacious rooms and apartments with views of the golf course, lake or pool. The resort also has a restaurant, bar, spa, gym, tennis court and an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Greg Norman.
What to do
Pelican Waters is a great place to enjoy the outdoors and the water. You can go fishing, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding or jet skiing on the canals or the nearby Pumicestone Passage. You can also visit the Pelican Waters Marina and Marina Village, which is a new development that features a range of dining, retail and commercial opportunities surrounded by a modern mixed-density residential development.
If you prefer to stay on land, you can go cycling or walking along the scenic pathways and bridges that connect the different parts of Pelican Waters. You can also visit the Rainbow Houses, which are a colourful row of houses along Lake Rietplas that make for a great photo spot.
For some history and culture, you can visit the Caloundra City Private School, which is located in Pelican Waters and has a heritage-listed building that was once the home of explorer William Landsborough. You can also drive to Caloundra and check out its beaches, markets, museums and galleries.

If you want to venture out of Pelican Waters, you can drive to Golden Beach or Caloundra and enjoy their selection of eateries and cafes.

You shall have access to a secure undercovercar park whilst you are staying at the Resort (non-reserved spots). Pelican Waters is a suburb of Caloundra and it takes only a short 10 to 15 minute drive from the Pelican Waters Resort to the city centre.
