Enjoy an elegant and newly-refurbished apartment in the heart of the historic city center. Located down below a stoned-alley from the cathedral and wihin a stone's throw to the Loire River banks, it enables you to enjoy sightseeing. You can easily access the local wine bars and restaurants in the nearby streets. You may then rest quietly in this cosy and comfortable apartment away from the bustling of the day. Access through a smartlock. Non-smoking. No pets. The apartment "Le Papegault" (the parrot) lies on the third floor of this old four-storey building which has only four samll apartments. It is a one-bedroom apartment with a distinct bedroom with a queen size bed and a separate bathroom with a shower and toilets. Alike the rest of the place the kitchen has been all refurbished and newly equiped. In the main room you can enjoy a sofa bed for two people and a rattan chair. Wifi access and connected TV set.

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in Blois und Umgebung und haben den Aufenthalt in der wundervollen, gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichteten Unterkunft in der Altstadt von Blois sehr genossen. Bei Ankunft erwarteten uns Tee, Kaffee und Plätzchen sowie frische Blümchen. Wir haben uns gleich wie zu Hause gefühlt. Sogar eine Flasche Wein stand für uns bereit. Vielen Dank an Valérie für den so herzlichen Empfang. Die Ferienwohnung ist äußerst komfortabel, sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht - dabei alles neuwertig und sehr geschmackvoll ausgewählt. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Ebenso war eine Ausstattung an Gewürzen und Öl etc. vorhanden. Die Betten sind sehr bequem. Die Wohnung ist perfekt gelegen, um die Stadt zu Fuß zu erkunden. Viele Restaurants befinden sich in der Nähe. Dennoch ist das Appartement ruhig gelegen. Wir wären gern noch länger geblieben und können die Unterkunft wärmstens weiter empfehlen. Valérie ist eine super freundliche Gastgeberin.

One word: FABULOUS! 🤩 Super clean, decorated and furnished with taste and practical sense. In the middle of the old town. Absolutely nothing was missing! And yes, there are church bells ringing and some bars are nearby. It did not disturb us. Free parking in about 7min walk but you can stop with your car close by and unload. Valerie was a super friendly and great host. We would love to go back there!

très bel appartement , décoré avec goût et avec soin. On peut garer sa voiture et ne pas la reprendre pendant plusieurs jours lorsque l'on reste sur Blois. Appartement calme, dans une rue piétonne, en plein cœur du quartier historique. Appartement très très propre. Très bien accueillis par Valérie. Je recommande.

Exceptionally well maintained Airbnb. Easy access to all of downtown Blois. Valerie is a charming host and we felt very comfortable and welcome in her place. (Noisy on a Friday/Saturday night/morning because of the bar downstairs but otherwise a great stay!)

Strolling through the stoned-paths of the historical district of Blois surrounding the cathedral is a nice and enticing way of discovering some of the heights of the city such as the half-timbered houses and other fine mansions from Renaissance time. The highlights of the city are within walking distance of the flat (five-minute-walk to reach the Château, the House of Magics or the Museum of Natural History, 10 minute-walk to the Fluxus contemporary art center). As for the cathedral, it stands at a distance of 150 meters (164 yards) above up the street.
The flat is also ideally located to start off visiting the most beautiful " chateaux" of the area ( a twenty-minute drive will take you to Chambord, Cheverny, Chaumont, a bit longer to Amboise).
And if you feel like wandering along the river banks on a fine evening you may venture to cross the bridge over the royal river as the Loire river has been called and enjoy some of the finest restaurants and wine bars of the "quartier vienne", another district of the city. From there, you may enjoy a beautiful scenary of the town.

Walking through the town still is the best way to both enjoy and discover it at a slow pace. Should you choose to visit other places outside the town, driving to these places is best.
