A few kilometers from Pisa lies Calambrone, a perfect seaside resort immersed in a vast Mediterranean pine forest.

In the green Mediterranean pine forest of Tirrenia, few meter north of Calambrone, you can relax by visiting the Oasis of the Tirrenia dunes, a protected area managed by the WWF of Pisa: an environment rich in flora and fauna where you can take long walks along the paths, some of which are accessible also for disabled people. Among the high dunes you can admire all the typical species of the Mediterranean scrub and animals and plants characteristic of dune environments.
