Fantastic stay and fabulous proprietor. The cabin is beautiful, the setting is perfect, and the hot tub is great.
The cabin was amazing, a great place to disconnect for a while
The cabin exceeded our expectations. By far, this was our favorite stop of our trip. Definitely going to have to find a way to come back
Amazing view, very responsive to questions and if we needed anything. Very thoughtful in the items available within the house, such as toiletries, for example there was a disposable razor if I had needed it. I thought it was smaller then the pictures made it appear but it was as beautiful as I was expecting. Only major complaint was that I didn't realize how close the Aframe was on the property and that the hot tub is in view of it, also the motion light with the hot tub. The drive can be a bit if looking to go into town often. But with that said had an amazing time, great location and we got out of it exactly what we were looking for.

High Aspen Cabin is a 15 min drive down a county road that takes you through Pike National Forest and to our cabin. Once there you will have access to the 1 million acres of wilderness right out your backdoor as the cabin backs up national forest land. You will be close to several rock formations and trails including Turkey Rock, Cedar Mountain, Hackett Mountain, Sheep Nose, Thunder Butte, and Signal Butte. There is an exclusive 2 mile loop trail that we made just for our guests that starts at cabin's doorstep and takes you to a ridge with panoramic views of Pikes Peak and the surrounding national forest. Since we are deep in the rocky's we are in dark sky country so at night be prepared to see millions of stars and the Milky Way above. To be noted, we have a landline, there is no cell service, and the internet works perfectly 95% of the time but occasionally with a big storm it may go out for a period of time.

The cabin is located in Turkey Rock Ranch, about 25 minutes (20 miles) from the nearest stores and gas stations in downtown Woodland Park. Parking for up to 4 vehicles is available in the driveways. We recommend parking in the driveway that leads to the two car garage.
IN THE WINTER:
Please note that we recommend 4 wheel drive or AWD during the winter season to access the cabin (Oct-May). The roads are regularly plowed, but there a few dirt roads that require 4 wheel drive or AWD during snowier weather and you definitely need it to get up the driveway. We do not grant refunds if your vehicle is unable to reach the cabin unrelated to specific road closures.
