The cabin was quite tired and dated. Bobby informed that he intends to complete a thorough renovation of this particular cabin before it is again rented. There are two other cabins on the property and they appear to be much newer and reflect pride of ownership and value for renters. The property is lovely, I was visited by keel-billed toucans and many other birds as well as howlers. But what I think I'll remember most is Bobby himself, a lovely gentleman - I don't know, but I would suspect that Bobby may be one of Belize's quiet national treasures, and it was a delight for me to have the small amount of time with him that I did.

Location? The best! Not too close and not too far. Environment? Amazing! you just open your front door and you have an amazing view. The pool area is great; the water is just perfect to go in for a swim. Highly recommended spot for those who like to see lots of greenery, who wants to relax in peace and quiet.

YOU WILL NOT REGRET YOUR STAY HERE! Our Stay at Bobby and Bernadette’s was wonderful! Bobby is a past diplomat who you will love to chat to for hours! The description of this property is understated - This is a 60 acres jungle property which extends back into the Maya foothills with fantastic grounds, many fruit trees, a beautiful pool and bar. You will definitely feel at home here. My husband and 8 year old boy stayed here for a full week. The decor in the cottage itself looks a little bit old, and tired but don't let it influence you as it is very clean and practical. The cabin was very comfortable and has all amenities required such as cooking pots and pans, very comfortable king bed, microwave, fridge, stove, WiFi, beautiful patio with hammocks for your coffee in the morning. The store is nearby so it was easy to get groceries and cook our meals in the evenings. You are in the jungle here so do not be surprised to hear howler monkeys at night - this is the beauty of Belize! Bobby will do everything possible to make you feel at home here, you will not regret booking this place. The place is also home to 3 lovely dogs Lila, Gunner and Bella! We thought that this place was well located. I was afraid at first that we would be a little far from everything but no. We were able to go everywhere easily by car, San Ignacio, Belmopan, Dangrega, Tobacco Caye, Belize Zoo, waterfalls, Mayan temples , and local markets... Make sure you go to Xunantanich it is amazing! Their hospitality was warm and kind. Thank you Bobby and Bernadette!
