Love, love, love!! What a peaceful and welcome get away! The yurt is cozy and comfortable in every way. The outdoor shower, heated bathroom and outdoor kitchen were all very well done. I especially enjoyed sitting around the firepit in the evenings. Felt like a slice of heaven, especially after a long day of driving! Michael and Shannon are wonderful hosts! They welcomed us in and treated us like close family friends. I especially appreciated their recommendations for local activities and places to see. I wish I could give them 10 stars!

Being the first guests to stay in this backyard yurt was an awesome experience. We're a family with 2 young kids, and it couldn't have been better. The kids shared the sofa bed, which unfolds down to the size of a double bed. The hosts' dedication to making this a welcoming place is obvious; they are natural hosts, and were a joy to talk with throughout our short stay. They allow plenty of parking space for your vehicle, and have fenced off an area (including a hedges) to make the yurt rental area private from their portion of the property. They provided several fun yard games for the kids, and many nice touches for the adults (tea and coffee with an electric tea kettle, propane grill and fire pit, nice bathroom and shower). In late July, the weather was perfect to stay in a yurt. The neighbors sound like they have chickens & a rooster, adding to the bucolic environment. The host invited our kids to start a painted rock garden - look for the rock painted like the yurt itself!
