Traditional stone built detached house built in approximately 1930 which has been upgraded and sympathetically modernized by the current owners whilst retaining many of its original features. Your stay here will be a travel back in time. It is located in the heart of the mountainous and green village of Vourkoti, near the Achla river and the stone bridge. Live a unique experience of staying in nature, in absolute silence, in the fresh northern air accompanied by the sound of the gurgling river. This traditional residence is 200 sq.m. and is divided into 2 levels. Ground floor and first floor. On the ground floor there is: Comfortable, large and bright kitchen with access to a stone-built courtyard. Large dining room also with access to the stone-built courtyard. Bathroom with bathtub and washing machine. Internal wooden staircase to the first floor. The first floor has 3 bedrooms. A bedroom with a single bed, a bedroom with 3 single beds and a bedroom with a double bed. Stone terrace with a view. Stairs lead to the ground floor courtyard. The residence has a private parking space.

Ό,τι και να πω θα είναι λίγο. Δεν θα μπορούσα να έχω πιο δυσάρεστη εμπειρία. Αρχικά, η τοποθεσία του ακινήτου πολύ δύσκολα προσβάσιμη, μας πήρε 2 ώρες να βρούμε μονοπάτι που να μην είναι χωματόδρομος και ανηφόρα. Το σπίτι μύριζε παρά πολύ έντονη μούχλα, είχε απίστευτη υγρασία και αργότερα ανακαλύψαμε ότι οι τοίχοι ήταν γεμάτοι μούχλα με βαφή από πάνω, όπως και ιστούς με αράχνες!!! Καλέσαμε την ιδιοκτήτρια απευθείας και της εκφράσαμε την δυσαρέσκεια μας και φυσικά ρωτήσαμε για εναλλακτικές αλλά δεν ήταν πρόθυμη. Σε αργότερη προσπάθεια επικοινωνίας μαζί της, τερμάτισε την κλήση και ύστερα έβαλε τον σύζυγο της στην γραμμή ο οποίος μας προσέβαλε, μας ειρωνεύτηκε και χλεύασε όταν του εξηγούσαμε τα προβλήματα μας με βάση τον χώρο. Μετά από επικοινωνία με την Airbnb καταφέραμε να ακυρώσουμε την κράτηση ΕΥΤΥΧΩΣ και η εν λόγω κυρία είχε το ΘΡΑΣΟΣ να ζητήσει και αποζημίωση 200€, ενώ δεν περάσαμε ούτε ένα βράδυ μέσα στο διαμέρισμα της!!! Απλά τραγικοί, η χειρότερη εμπειρία που έχω ζήσει ποτέ!

This beautiful stone built property is set in the heart of Vourkoti village.
Vourkoti is a one-of-a-kind, mountainous, agricultural, secluded village of Central Andros with stunning sceneries.
Vourkoti is the perfect place to unwind.
You are surrounded by beautiful nature while also being just a 25 minute drive to the town center (Chora).
Chora is 16 klm far.
The central port Gavrion is 27 klm. far - 45 minutes driving.
The biggest river of Andros , the Achla river crosses the village towards the famous homonymous beach Achla and its important NATURA protected wetland.
The starting point of Andros Route trail no 6 ( Vourkoti - Achla Beach) is close by and is stretching parallel to the river.
Old farm houses, the arched bridge of Achla, small waterfalls, the centuries old Agios Nikolaos Monastery and one of the most beautiful and famous beaches of Andros , Achla are the main attractions of the village.
ACHLA Beach is 9 Klm away on a dirt road.
Vourkoti is the closest village to the Achla beach.
The fairytale-like pond GEROLIMNI is 3 Klm away on a dirt road. We highly suggest to avoid reaching the spot on your own as there is no signed path. Local agencies provide guided tours which you can book while being on the island.
