The village, like many others in the region, stands on top of a hill which is almost perfectly located in the center of a hypothetical triangle between Casale Monferrato, Alessandria and Asti. It is surrounded by other beautiful villages, small pearls such as Camagna, Frassinello or Altavilla.
The streets of the town, perched on top of a hill, pleasantly intertwine in a continuous ups and downs.
The infernot is the typical cellar of this part of Monferrato. Calling the infernots cellars today is an understatement, even if their original purpose was precisely that: a cellar where families could store the best wine, as well as meat and other foodstuffs. Tables were usually carved here around which men sat on cold winter evenings. Yes, because in the infernot the temperature is constant throughout the year and fluctuates between 12 and 16°C.
Palazzo Callori houses the Monferrato Regional Enoteca and is the venue for some of the classic Monferrato events.
The annual dance festival Vignale Monferrato Festival (formerly Vignale Danza) also takes place here, enlivening the town for more than a month with open-air shows.

Getting to Monferrato is simple and easy. About an hour's drive from Turin, Milan and Genoa, it is particularly concentrated in the province of Alessandria with some branches on Asti and Vercelli, it is crossed by the A4 motorway (for those arriving from Milan or Turin) and the A26 (for those comes from Genoa). In particular, Casale is part of the motorway system with two toll booths on the A26, Casale Nord and Casale Sud exits (the latter also recommended for the Valencian area).
The eastern area of the Po plain and Lomellina, in the province of Pavia, can also be reached with the A7, Tortona and Gropello Cairoli exits.
