In a whimsical cabin by a bubbling stream, A London family sought a peaceful dream. Impulsively booked, on a train they did hop, To escape the city's stress, they needed a stop. With daughters in tow, they arrived with glee, To a modern retreat, so cozy and free. Quirky compartments for bedtime delight, And WiFi so strong, it shone through the night. An outdoor kitchen, twinkling with flair, And a friendly cat, for cuddles to share. A fire was lit, midst a drizzle's dance, Toasting marshmallows, in a joyful trance. Marty and Jayne, hosts extraordinaire, Went the extra mile, with a kind-hearted flair. Winchester, a gem, just a stroll away, With history and charm, to brighten their day. From Keats to cathedrals, a walk to behold, Through streets of old pubs, where stories are told. So thank you, dear hosts, for a magical stay, In your charming retreat, we whiled the day away. We'll cherish the memories, and hope to return, For more fireside chats, and adventures to discern.

Lovely little lodge surrounded by a stunning little garden. Very close to the family home which I hadn’t realised and was a little off putting for me, however my 7 year old son thought the whole place was brilliant. Would be gorgeous during the warmer months, luckily lots of blankets available as we were rather cold. We did book very last minute and so appreciate being accommodated at short notice.

We quite simply couldn’t stay and left after a few minutes. As soon as we unlocked the door a cat bolted inside and straight onto one of the beds, the door to the bunk was open. My wife is allergic and although the allergy is reasonably mild and the cat is mentioned in the listing. we didn’t expect it to join us in the cabin. There was cat hair and dirt on the floor. The lower bunk/bed had blankets that were stained, this is the one the cat jumped into. This cabin is not private in anyway, you feel watched while you are there. Martin was away the day we arrived but we didn’t know that until we had left, this wouldn’t have made any difference to our decision to leave, the uncleanliness made our stay impossible. Although the pictures look great, the surrounding area is awful. The trampoline looks dangerous, the same for the climbing apparatus. There is a half finished blockwork structure and what looks like the contents of a scrapyard within the grounds. Not worth £260. Awful.

Magical stay! I took my 12 year daughter and her friend for a night stay. We all fell in love with the cabin. The river and outdoor kitchen were so fun. Hosts were fabulous. Amazing location. We hope to return in the summer. Thanks such Marty and Jayne ❤️
