Casa Olea is a stunning “boutique B&B” which can be rented privately, close to the charming white towns of Priego de Cordoba and Zuheros. With 6 en-suite bedrooms, the house is ideal for families or groups of friends looking for a comfortable and peaceful getaway in a secluded rural location, yet close enough to Granada and Cordoba for day trips. Amazing views in all directions over the river valley, hills and olive groves. Beautiful pool, hiking and cycling trails, dark skies for stargazing. We completely restored a ruined 150-year-old “cortijo” (farmhouse), keeping the traditional Andalucian architecture while adding modern-day luxuries throughout the house - from underfloor heating and air-conditioning, to huge comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms and large windows to make the most of the fabulous views and bright Andalucian light. The decoration is in “rustic chic” style with white walls, ceramic tile and original cobble-stone floors together with exposed wood beams and wrought-iron window guards (ground floor) and balconies (bedrooms). There are colourful details throughout the house, such as South American textiles and original paintings; but the main focus is always the wonderful views from every window. Inside, there is a large dining room with bar, a cozy lounge with open fire for the colder months and, if you like cooking, a huge well-equipped industrial kitchen perfect for group catering. Three of the bedrooms are large enough to take an extra bed, so the maximum group size is 15 people. The villa is rented on a self-catering basis, but can also be rented on a “with catering” basis (extra cost) if this is preferred. If you are interested in renting the house as a “catered villa”, with us providing all home-cooked meals using locally-sourced ingredients (often organic), please let us know and we can give you further information. We have strong eco credentials, with 6 solar panels and a biomass boiler (burning olive pellet waste from the local olive mill), as our source for all hot water and heating. All of the building work, in the original restoration project, was done by local, artisan craftsmen and using traditional materials and hand-made details wherever possible. We provide extensive recycling bins on the property, for you to recycle 100% of all plastic, tetra-pack cardboard and glass waste generated. Each year, we organize litter/trash collections in the local area. Airports & AVE stations: Malaga (90 minutes), Granada (1 hour), Cordoba (1 hour), Seville (2 hours).

Cannot recommend highly enough. Such a beautiful house in a truly unique setting. We were a group of 11 including children staying during one of the hottest weeks of the year. The house was very well equipped and had excellent air conditioning (including in each bedroom). The pool was much larger than it looks in photos with lots of loungers and umbrellas. Lots of places to sit and read or soak up the view in the house. The highlight of our stay was the meteor showers - there is no light pollution at Casa Olea so we saw shooting stars every evening on the terrace. Truly magical.

We booked Casa Olea for my husbands birthday to celebrate along with friends. What can we say apart from it was absolutely wonderful. Tim and Claire are amazing hosts and have thought of everything you will need. There are great walks nearby, and we also visited Cordoba which was well worth the visit. The cathedral was great. The Casa itself is surrounded by stunning views, and is so quiet and private. We spent many afternoons after sightseeing just relaxing around the pool, listening to the different birds, and for my husband the stargazing at night was a bonus. We will definitely be back.

El alojamiento de Tim y Clara es un lugar espectacular. Normalmente es un hotel, y eso, para un grupo tan grande como el nuestro (11 personas + 5 niños) ha sido ideal. Cada dormitorio contaba con su propio baño y aire acondicionado así que te olvidas de tener que compartir baños. El comedor es super grande y la cocina es tipo profesional. La zona de la piscina es super agradable ya que estás rodeado de campo y olivos por donde mires. Es un oasis donde escapar para desconectar del día a día. Los anfitriones fueron súper amables y simpáticos y estuvieron atentos a todas nuestras necesidades. Repetiremos con toda seguridad.

Un lugar genial para desconectar unos dias con los amigos o la familia. La casa es amplia y se ve nueva, rodeada de naturaleza y una zona de descanso con piscina sensacional. El anfitrión muy atento en todo momento. Altamente recomendada, nosotros la apuntamos para repetir.

This place was in an amazing pocket away from everything but not far from all the sights. The house is beautifully redone with air conditioning and a beautiful pool to cool off in. All you hear are birds all day as it is not near any major cities. The host was great at communication before and during as well as provided a lot of local tips for restaurants and hikes. We highly recommend this for a relaxing time whether you are with friends, by yourself or a family with children.

The area is a great choice for anyone looking to do outdoor activities in wonderful scenery and explore a truly authentic corner of rural Andalucia, away from the crowds.

Our house is not connected by public transport, so you will need your own car to stay here. Driving here in rural Andalucia is easy, as the road network is excellent - with well maintained roads, very little traffic and good signage.
You can hire a car in any of the major city airports or RENFE train stations nearby, such as Malaga, Granada, Cordoba and Seville. See travel times to these locations above. There is lots of free, off-street parking on our finca.
